How viable would this be? Aside from being stupendously valuable. It's covered in amethysts, so it looks rad as hell in my mind.

It's like half as dense as iron, but it really just needs to be sharp to be a viable spear, right?

I need to know: what is the total interior surface area of the human body?

It's important, and I can't find this info in the internet for some reason. Also just so no-one worries, it's not for some kind of grade or assignment that I'm trying to cheat on etc. I just need to know.

DF Dwarf Mode Discussion / Increased Civ range?

I'm pretty sure this is a no, but is there a way to increase civilization "range"? That being the distance they will interact with another civilization with?

I want to create a big world with fewer but larger civilizations, but they probably would not be able to interact with one another due to distance between.

DF Modding / How do I color?

I thought I solved this problem for myself, but I'm out of ideas. I have custom body parts and I cannot make them show details such as color in the creature description.

The body parts work perfectly other than that. Does the current system not allow for this? Do they have to be designated somewhere as something that can have details associated with them?

Can you make custom skills at all? Like, say, if you wanted to add (for example) golem-crafting into the game. Could you create a golem-crafting unique skill token to go with it? (Also, that is not what I'm trying to do. Just an example).

I did a search and couldn't come up with anything really relevant.

Hey,

So I haven't played around with the new manager too much yet. I used it successfully earlier in the fortress.

I reassigned my manager to military duty after noticed that he was good at swords and stuff. Now the new manager (who I made sure DOES have an office assigned) will not initiate any new jobs. He just stands around with no job.

Any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

Hey! I have a question about werebeasts.

I have always taken great care to see to it that all who fight werebeasts either survive unscathed or die. I now have an infected citizen who is safely sealed away.

Now, I want to MOVE this citizen to a better containment unit. Now that he is a confirmed werebeast, will cage traps affect him? Or will I need to time it carefully to move him while he is a dwarf? Also, can I chain him?

Hey all! Thanks for helping amateur modders, I appreciate all you guys insights.

I want to have a creature that can alter it's FIXED_TEMP tag and thereby change it's external temperature. I remember reading about how this is possible, and I wanted to check some things.

Does it just tack it on to the end of that instance of the creature? If so, could this result in the game considering multiple identical tags with different values? Or, does it remove any duplicate tags when adding a tag via interaction?

Hello! I would like to create an interaction that allows a creature to transform into another creature at-will. I'm having trouble finding documentation on this specific effect.

I'm trying to go it alone using the wiki, but I'm having a slow time of it. Forum search is bringing up non-relevant results. Any assistance would be appreciated.

So, I think it would be nice to have a block that works like a floor but prevents movement in ONE direction, such as south or east. This could function as a "railing" without occupying the entire tile.

Could make it much easier to build things like multi-z ramps or pathways. It might even help with building places for say, an archer to stand and walk.

Wat do you guys think?
