You know if my statistics class has put it that way I would have liked the professor more.

It is literally the only math class I got better than a C in and the only math class outside of the basics of the basics I ever got practical meaningful use out of what I learned.  Shame the teacher was completely boring and humorless.

A friend of mine that keeps up with memes to an almost excessive degree informed me that there is a female version of bowser that is apparently some kind of meme.  That's not the wtf, though it is wtf worthy.  The wtf is that according to him nintendo's stock rose more after that meme took off, than it did when they did their last Nintendo direct.

Oh and he also tells me not to look that meme up, just in case I'm forwarding that warning to y'all too.

Would probably help us make the step to viable human cloning as I understand they were very similar to us, and also I the insight into the human brain's development would have it's uses too.

But yea there are a million things keeping any of that stuff from realistically happening.  I don't think "god" would have given us the tools to play god, or the tools to discover how creation actually works if they didn't want us to, but yea I figure reason #5 is going to be a particularly strong sticking point.   ...Ironically even if a godlike being came down from on high and gave us everything we needed to clone a neanderthal.

I vaguely remember some trick for that. I think if you shift right click the taskbar icon for the window you can bring up the move command, and then use the arrow keys to move it back onscreen.

Edit:  Seems to be an old fix, fitting since last time I did big computer work windows 7 had just come out.   On newer windows shift right click and choosing cascade or side by side will bring it back too.

EDIT2: And the game my friend is playing is Star Ocean Amnesis.  From a quick google that looks just as bothersome though :)

A friend of mine is playing a mobile game.  the english version of a mobile game he has been playing in Japanese for a year now, but it got an english release so now he's 'playing' both.

I use 'playing' in quotes because for the english version he's doing nothing but rerolling, which is apparently playing to a certain point where you get a free roll on a lootbox for a character.  He tells me he is rerolling until he gets 2 specific characters from his free rerolls.  Those characters both have a 3% chance of happening.  I ran the figures using half remembered statistics math, and it comes to something like a 0.09% chance of that actually happening each reroll.  I told him this, making sure to specify that that was not 9% but less than a tenth of 1% and he's still doing it.

So not only is he spending all his time NOT playing a game on the minuscule chance he'll get crazy lucky, he's doing it on a game he already has (and he has both those characters already in the JP version) WTF.

Stuck D-Horse in front of a road to stop a vehicle from passing by with a prisoner so I could ambush it.

They drove right over D-Horse.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

1. Order D-Horse to defecate on the road.

2. Let the jeep pass by over the horse feces.

3. ???

4. PROFIT!!!
While I admit I suffered from too much sandboxia to get very far in the actual plot of MGSV, I can tell you that I found this out and tried it myself and the results are satisfying.  I donno what snake feeds that thing, but it must turn into some unholy mix of banana peels, animal birthing liquid, and whatever slip and slides are made of after passing through the digestive tract of that animal.  A pile of horse crap should not do that to a car.

My own death: Playing warframe trying to help a friend grind parts for Equinox.  In a underwater section and got pushed into the wall by a water jet.   Got stuck and couldn't get out.  The game's unstuck command did not help.  The game is normally good about that, issues like this are rare, excepting specific areas, the place I was in being one of them, and normally you don't need the full team to complete an objective, and as long as half the party reaches the end it will consider the mission a success for everyone anyway after a short 1 minute delay.
This however is an assassination mission, a boss fight.  And the boss won't spawn til everyone is in the room.  I had to abandon the mission.

How much of that is loyalty to the President Trump versus loyalty to Trump the person? Sorta like how the Varangian Guard were loyal to whoever was Emperor, not to any Emperor in particular
That actually seems like a really good thought.  He is pretty much the entire armed forces' boss so it makes me wonder how many members of the armed forces may have answered "Oh yes sir, I love the man and he is a boon to the country" simply because their CO was issuing the survey?

Naturally I've never been in the military, so I'm not sure how this stuff works, but wouldn't being openly against the man qualify as insubordination?

Redking will be fine, all he has to do is find a reddish glass orb on a pedestal and smash it and he'll back hom-

Actually Redking might wanna hold off on that destroying the orb thing for a day or so.

Of course pizza went after milk duds first, the coward, leaving his allies to handle popcorn and liquid candy.  Milk duds may be a powerful theater candy but he's nothing compared to those other two.

Delicious stars.  If stars taste as good as this hamburger it's a suprise we have not just built giant rocket boosters on earth and dove us an the entire planet into the sun so we could start eating.

Sorry we already put it in our will that all our assets will be buried with us, and all non physical assets be sold to pay for booby trapping our grave with nuclear weapons like an extremely explosive and radioactive King Tut.

Clearly we need to go a level beyond goat blood.   The serpent is often related with evil, so are dragons, so are bats, and so are body horrors.

The answer is clear, we take a snake, graft legs on it (legs of a komodo dragon would probably be most effective but any legs should do depending on the power you need), and then graft the wings of a bat on it so it looks like a body horror dragon, then use ITS blood.  That should be at least an order of magnitude stronger than goat blood.

Heck shove an aerosol can and a lighter down it's throat and it may even vomit fire every time it screams in existential agony.  That would probably be a few orders of magnitude stronger.

Hovercraft?  I was promised a flying car.  Like straight up zipping around 500 feet above the ground.

Then again 10 years ago I was under the impression that the internet would require a licence to use much like cars do considering how much damage someone with no idea what they are doing can do to their computers their bank accounts, and the computers and bank accounts of others.  So I guess my expectations don't remotely match reality.
