I'm ambivalent, leaning towards not liking it. Though I only glanced through the thread.

When I was first playing getting to my first season change as a newbie I considered a major accomplishment and was motivation to keep playing.  At 91 day seasons I could see newbie me considering it an unreachable goal, even now as a player that knows what they are doing I rarely get 90 days in before I get bored run out of serious threats and feel there is nothing further to gain from the run.  I also see it as less likely anyone will want to experiment with animals or plants, as they likely take significantly longer to yield returns.  If I understand correctly construction speed is also tied to season length?  I can't see constructions taking longer than they already do and still being bothered with, but I may be misinformed there.  It sounds like quite a few systems in the game would be made too long term to ever want to deal with by multiplying the investment time by something like 6.

On the other hand it is probably easier to code for real season lengths, and finding and crafting winter/summer gear will be more worth the trouble, foraging seasonal trees and berries would be more worth the investment at least in your current season, and it may open the way for seasonal zombies and animals, which would otherwise not be around long enough to ever bother with.  That could even solve the 90 day boredom if new threats or goals could be introduced seasonally.

Again, leaning against, but not enough to start screaming bloody murder as we are wont here.  Feel free to correct me if any of my thoughts are misinformed.

Thank you for reminding me that that comic exists.  Now excuse me as I do absolutely nothing productive for the rest of the evening and a not insignificant part of tomorrow morning.

I think your link is broken.  https://www.warframe.com/news/looking-for-some-extra-credit  I think is what yer looking for.  Though it's such a short article your info actually says more than it does.

I made a submarine.  By accident.   I would put this in the deaths thread but it is surprisingly effective as a submarine.

It was designed to be a lot like an old american civil war era ironclad, but I may have put a bit too much weight on it and it likes to be underwater.  And do barrel rolls while underwater.  But it still moves at a good clip and all the broadside Advanced Cannons can still fire just fine while underwater, even thrashed my main battleship design once with a broadside of sabot rounds aimed straight at it's underside.  A good 2 size classes above it.

So I just stuck a couple hydrofoils on the side, and stuck an AI module on it to tell it that if it's pointed almost straight down to turn the hydrofoils to point it back up again and it seems to do just fine for it's size, at least against my own ships.  If only I could make anything that could compete with anything vanilla.

I did not even know there was a storm nearby until it started raining inside the store when the door opened and a customer mentioned it.  I should probably pay attention to the news.

Fixed.  My confused brain wanted to overuse the word recently.

Someone drove into the store's parking lot yesterday and hit a roughly 3 or 4 foot tall, bright yellow painted stationary object fast enough to damage the car.  Today, according to risk management, they apparently want to sue.

Admittedly that object was a shopping cart, in the parking lot and from all appearances it has somehow found itself in the driving lane of the lot.  But everything in that first sentence is the truth as well (though I am suddenly stumped as to the height of the things).   Somebody recently wanted to sue the store for >almost< slipping last month next to a wet floor sign too.   Why is everyone sue happy lately?

Finally got the videogame system for my orbiter.  So I started playing some Street Frame Fighter with my Fancy looking Zephyr.  Was doing respectable and came up against a newbie.  I waited a bit for him to learn the controls, since they are a bit...odd, and I we started fighting for real on the second round with me up 1 point because I had been beating on him a bit before realizing he didn't know the controls, and got a timeout round win.

Naturally once he did have the controls he absolutely destroyed me, with me barely getting any hits in, because nice guys finish last.

Cecil of night vale?  I would rather have him than Morgan Freeeman honestly.  That guy can make anything sound creepy.

My beard is also because I'm too lazy to shave.   Though apparently I'm lucky, I just use the same shampoo on it I use on my hair and run a comb through it now and then and apparently it looks great. Additionally because I only bother to get a haircut about once a year I'm told I look like any number of old classic rock stars by my customers at work.

Apparently I look like someone from Slayer.  I saw his picture and it looks accurate, but I don't know his name.

I played and beat last remnant, and I can tell you that it never really does become clear.  You can influence it with party makeup, with more physical focused squads getting more physical options and more magical focused teams getting more magical options, healers sometimes getting the ability to heal themselves or ally squads(that seemed to be the rarest to me) but I don't think you will ever get absolute 100% control over what combat options you are given in a given turn.  I only recall being able to largely predict what options would become available very lategame, and I think that was mostly just because I had the squads so specialized and with so many skills that match their specialty they could hardly do anything else.

Someone with a lot of time and memory editing capability can probably figure it out to a reasonable degree, just like how someone figured out every single iota of the game logic to Final Fantasy Tactics, but from a practical perspective I just considered the game to be largely randomized in your actions per turn, and part of the game was working with what you are given.

I did enjoy the game by the way, replay value is meh, but first playthrough is a trip. Kind of a hidden gem once you get the hang of the combat system, and the music is awesome.  I actually have soundsense scripted to play a couple tracks from that game when I play DF.

Doesn't pet treats have all the health and processing requirements of human food?  I guess maybe you can use cheaper ingredients while still charging the same amount, but I never understood the reasoning why folks would produce pet food over human food when all the sanitation requirements are identical, seems like you'd have a bigger market making people food.  Then again I'm no economist, so I may be very wrong.

Stepped in magma by mistake during the rematch with Magma Dragoon.  At least I did succeed in killing him with my ride armor in the first fight, so I got the achievement.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Killing magma dragoon with the ride armor is an ACHIEVEMENT now?  Back when I was a teenager I couldn't beat Magma Dragoon without the ride armor.  I would always go for him first because he was the only one I could consistently beat without a power thanks to being able to bring a giant mech into the boss room.  I actually thought him showing up in the prologue was a hint to indicate that you should go for him first.

Yes I am very bad at megaman games.
