Captchas on YouTube...?

The fuck? Are there a group of people at google just thinking of ways to make youtube more annoying for me? On a related note, NO youtube, I do not want to use my real name and I do NOT want a google plus account and no you will not get my mobile phone number. And especially no, PLEASE oh fuck PLEASE do not suggest pewdiepie videos to me ever again youtube.
Captchas have been around for years on Youtube, unless something has changed they only trigger if you post several comments in a short time frame.

I don't post comments. I have posted I think two comments total on the whole time I have been registered. I get the captcha every time I go to youtube now. I get it even when I am not logged in so it sure as hell has nothing to do with comments.

I'm going to fucking maul the next person who makes a character based on Alan Turing and pleasantly "forgets" that he was gay.  He died for it.

Where did this happen?

If TVTropes is right, Pacific Rim.  I sent a rather lengthy note to the scriptwriter.

Wow... I have not seen Pacific Rim yet but if that is correct, and the character is actually meant to be a Turing analog, that is really shitty.

Say hello to Klaus, the forklift driver!

Edit:

Just to be clear, it's not exactly safe for work, or for the squemish X)

Skimming through the list, these popped out at me.

Eclipse, basically a space 4x boardgame :D

Ticket to ride, be a railroad baron, very fun and dwarfy.

Pandemic, cooperative game where your goal is to save humanity from superviruses, pretty damn hard as well.

Back when you said you only had two people I really wanted to say Netrunner but they didn't have that on the list :(

Everyone, you cannot aim (nearly as well as you think you can). Please sit the fuck down.

Fixed that for you :)

Genestealers... so many genestealers. All my squadmates are dead, the captain was the first to go, he took down three of the xenos before succumbing, soon after my three other battle brothers were overrun. I purified their corpses with the holy fire of the Emperors flamer which also served to cover my back as I advanced on the objective, I started to turn but did not have enough time, the bastard bug sliced through my tactical dreadnought armour like it was so much space plastic. We have failed you Emperor.

Do you advocate accepting 0^0 by definition, MagmaMcFry? Because if you do, then (0^0)^0=1^0=1 but on the other hand (0^0)^0=0^(0^0)=0^1=0.

You are doing some illegal shit with those paranthesis. (0^0)^0=0^(0^0) is not a valid expression.

See for example 5^(2^3) = 390625, and (2^3)^5 = 32768.

You can't just move paranthesis around all willy nilly when you are dealing with exponents.

Woo, just got myself a new apartment. Glory to Arstotzka!

EDIT: Just saw this post might be misinterpreted, I meant a new apartment in real life :p

Now the question is, if this macguffin-forge existed and worked, why didn't the hero of the first game do it to Diablo instead of jamming the stone into himself? Maybe he simply didn't know it existed. If I remember correctly it was Tyrael (?) that told you about the possibility in D2.

Sorry had to answer it.

You see in the first game the only way to stop the Three great evils was to seal them away in soul stones after they were betrayed by the other prime evils during the holy war (the war between heaven and hell).

The reason why the main characters would never have thought of destroying the soul stones in the first game was because the soul stones existence was a way to contain them and destroying it would have just freed them.

The plot twist that the second brought was

Which for someone like myself who actually read the entire diablo manual, which had a LOT of backstory, was a very convoluted plot twist with a lot of holes and required quite a bit of retcons just to pull off.

Ahh, I see, in the light of this I am in agreement with you on the soulstone smashing issue. I had missed that point about the soulstones and had just assumed the thing with the forge was basically a 'throw the ring into the fires of mount doom'-scenario.

In D2, the prime evils are dead with a capital D, their souls were captured in the stones and bloody destroyed at the hellforge, and so are all the lesser evils except for Belial and Azmodan
Diablo 2 was the Diablo 3 of Diablo 1.

I... would not go that far. Maybe the whole, destroying the soulstones kills whatever is inside if done at the magical macguffin forge in hell is stupid, but they should have stuck to it. Diablo 3 was just not consistent with Diablo 2.

Now the question is, if this macguffin-forge existed and worked, why didn't the hero of the first game do it to Diablo instead of jamming the stone into himself? Maybe he simply didn't know it existed. If I remember correctly it was Tyrael (?) that told you about the possibility in D2.

Now I agree that D2 lost a lot of nuance compared to D1, but all in all, the story was internally consistent. Something which D3 fails at big-time while adding an unhealthy overdose of Evil-Stupid villains and Lawful-Stupid good guys.
