I am unsure about all three factions.

I like the look and feel of the NC weapons and MAX'es and stuff. I always preferred slow powerful autocannons to chainguns and plasma... Buuut I like the actual factions of the vanu and terrans more. Especially the Vanu, transhumanist scientists compared to the almost religious ignorance of NC and TR. Also purple is pretty.

I don't know I could go for any of the factions I guess.

Man the adventures of Edna the Brilliant have gotten pretty epic now, I managed to defeat the mindflayer by slapping it with my staff and casting Restore Ability. I have now managed to get pretty damn far into the dungeon, meeting many dangerous enemies (the mindflayer has been the most annoying so far though but I noticed I could lure them into a room and lock the door, they don't seem able to break it down. The trolls on the other hand do not like being locked in as much heh.)
The most dangerous thing I encountered so far though was that apparently you can forget spells, I had been throwing away my spellbooks after I learnt the spells. Big mistake. I have managed to get back my three most important spells though (Lightning, restore ability and cone of cold.) Sadly no identify books yet on this run

Anyways I just had to brag a bit about my little witch :p

She is now wearing
-Blessed speed boots +1
-Blessed pair of hand warmers +6 (will be replaced when I find gloves of strength.)
-Blessed Cornuthaum +3 (helmet that gives me +6 INT and +1 WIS)
-Blessed cloak of magic resistance.
-Blessed Japanese Robe of ESP +3 (used the clothier to craft my amulet of ESP into my robe so I could free up the amulet slot for the most important damn thing in the game.)
-Blessed ring of levitation. (would not have gotten this far without it, by far my best item.)
-Blessed ring of teleport control. (For getting out of trouble and for neutralizing those damn traps.)
-Blessed amulet of unchanging. (This is my second most important piece... so many runs have ended for me by traps of polymorph.)
-Blessed +3 staff of light imbued with an amethyst.

Maybe this will be the character I actually manage to get to the end with, we will see, now I have jinxed it though :p

Damn it, I got pretty far with a huntress (got some lucky drops and vendors, love the baker) but then I met my biggest foe in this game... Vortexes/vapours. This one was an ice vortex that hit me for 6 damage each hit, could not itself be hit and followed me everywhere. How the hell do you beat those?

My albeit limited experience would advice you to stay as far away from that one as you can.

Anyone have a source that region locking has been scrapped? I kind of want to stop sobbing now.

Well that pissed me off. Seriously region locking shouldn't be a fucking thing in 2012.
