There are hub cells that coordinate on a larger scale and crystallised cells that provide rigidity to the creature's form and serve as communication conduits between hub cells. if we need to defend ourselves then we just get every cell to generate its most damaging laser and coalesce them into a single beam that emanates from the crystal frame. Preferably this would be directed to an external vent in the frame, but it could be broadcast in almost any direction if we are desperate enough to sacrifice some of our own flesh...

Did i bring something ti get through the roof with? If i did then land on their roof, get through and try to flank them. Make sure to be very careful and if something happens have a path up to the jenny Hanniver ready.
