((Yo Mego! The Distant Advantage feat allows me to gain combat advantage with ranged attacks as long as the enemy is flanked. It doesn't say I need to flank them, at least not if I'm reading it correctly; kinda hard to flank with ranged attacks.))

((It is hard to flank with ranged attacks - that's the point of the feat. There's an image in PHB1, under Combat, that explains flanking pretty well.))

Kyle pulls out a knife and drives it through Alpha's skull. Alpha drops to the floor, dead.

You gain 500 EXP.

Slade: "Very good... You can handle soldiers just fine. Let's see how you do against one of our... shall I say, resident mages."

Another green light fills the room, healing you completely.

((Next update won't be for a while. For the record, Kyle got a descriptive attack because it was the finishing blow. Alpha had 1 HP left.))

378
((You only get 2 attacks if there are 2 creatures that you're targeting.))

Grizzly!Joe: 12 + 3 = 15: Hit! 3 + 2 = 5 damage to Alpha!

"Been saving this one for a special occasion!"

Weston casts Prismatic Orb! +1 to attack roll because of Distant Advantage (assuming target is flanked).

((I'm assuming you meant Chromatic Orb. Also, Alpha is only flanked by Kyle and Fargrim, so you don't get CA; only they do.))

Weston: 18 + 5 = 23: Hit! 9 + 1 + 3 + 2 = 15 [3] fire damage!

Fargrim, Thymu, Kyle, and Joe all take 2 fire damage from Weston's spell.

Alpha: lunges at Joe with his knife, dealing 6 damage.

379
Joe: RAWR!

((Are you going to attack? Wild Shape is only a minor action.))

My brother is a fucking Metroid badass.

Seriously, I always thought I was good at Metroid. Then he starts playing Zero Mission and... well, he broke the game far more efficiently than I ever did Super Metroid (without help, that is). He figured out the early Screw Attack before he knew that he wasn't supposed to get the screw attack that early (before the super missiles, that is). Heck, I could have sworn that it wasn't possible to wall-jump up a single wall in ZM, but there he is, just... doing it.

Single-wall-jumping is easier in ZM than in SM, imo, as well as bomb jumping. It's Fusion that doesn't allow single-wall-jumping (unless you have insane finger speed/dexterity or are using slowdown/frame advance to do lots of midair moprhing and unmorphing).

Something tells me that FFS is laughing his ass off reading these theories because we are way off base.

382
((Are you sure? That would hit your allies, too.))

383
So, I only will need one feat to be pretty close to a pirate! Hoorah there shall be gold and jewels after I become the most notorious pirate on the Spanish main.

((What have I done?))

There's nothing to say that Milli didn't sic the Astral Influx on us.

Except that, you know, whoever wrote those messages to Proxxy referred to the Target and the Exile as two different people.

Now that I think of it, it would make more sense for me to be able to do anything with a gun that can be done with a crossbow because they're quite similar.

Rifles and pistols are, at least. Other types of guns will have different methods of operation.

Is he blinded by Twisted eye from my AOO? If not, I wonder why...

Stay in a flanking position and use twisted eye!

You see no indication that Alpha is blinded.

Fargrim: 6 + 7 = 13: Miss!

Joe is up!

Proxxy's stats, for reference, since we're almost surely going to have to fight here.

From that post:

Guysguysguys we can hopefully meet Cain soon!

From later:

Mili didn't revive.

The Astral Influx belongs to the Target. The Astral Influx belongs to Ciro. Therefore, Ciro is the Target.

Yeaaaah... now that you mention it, it does sound like the girl Ciro refers to is Mili, and not the missing Riltia like I had initially thought. Shit, did we accidentally kill one of the Siblings really damn early in the story? Seems incredible since she was basically oneshot by a random encounter, but Death is Cheap in the Warrens. Her body wasn't in that revivification tube when we shoved Slog in there...

If Mili was a Sibling, she would have to be the Voice. All the others are accounted for. However, she did not have her Soul Star with her when she died (if she even has one; I'm not convinced she wasn't an Illborn). Also, the Voice was online during Sinful, while the Target was not, implying that they are two separate people. And, finally, the Voice is male.

Summary: Mili is not a Sibling. Mili may or may not have been Illborn, but I'm leaning towards yes, due to her lack of a Soul Star.

I just rediscovered this blurb after re-reading Ciro's revival (since I didn't remember Al mentioning he put Mili in the same tank). Was the tank always in the Greens, or did it get moved there? If it was always in the Greens, what happened to the other 6 (presumably for Oric and the other 5 Siblings)? If it got moved there, who moved it, and where are the others now?
A better question: How does Ciro know this?
It's probably not Mili, because that doesn't explain why "the girl" would be next to her...

I'm guessing a brief moment of clarity, remembering past cycles.

Your surroundings prove remarkably easy to escape.

You have a feeling of Deja Vu.

You feel like you have done this before.

Many.

Many.

Many times before.

It happened again:

My guess is that "the girl" is Riltia, given her apparent connection to Ciro.

Alright. Walk over causally, THEN use Viper's Strike.

Thymu: 14 + 4 + 2 = 20: Hit! 5 + 3 = 8 damage! Alpha wavers again. (bloodied)

Zako, you're up!
