df is such a huge and all-embracing game that almost anything can be regarded as a suggestion or is already implemented. To elaborate on OP's post and expand it, combat is mostly silent now. Sure, weapons clunch against armor, but that's all. Why not add battlecries, screams of fear when creatures are terrified, cries of pain and agony when they are wounded/killed. If they can scream of course and if they don't have wounds preventing that.
It's quite useless now but will see some use when lighting is implemented and sometimes combat will take place in complete darkness.
This is a suggestion.

Definitely seems worthwhile to me, but maybe after we get some optimization so it won't impact FPS so much.

Agree,when I breach the blue starway to heaven  me ,my dorfs and my cpu both are weting their pigtail pants.

what if priests from diferent gods could exorcise the ghosts with certain proceduraly choosen materials (If the god is relationed with language and children the priest would sing something holding a child to exorcise the ghost for example.)

I support the idea, I've already went to a lot of archeological excavations here in brazil,i've seen lots of paintings like what the OP describes,dwarfs could be able to paint engravings with a mixture of clay and the mineral or with only the raw mineral like hematite or even other types of rocks and coal or ashes.
If you want to see some of those paintings just google : pousada das araras,in english translating it literally it means macaw inn or something like that.
