Is there another use for Ivory?

There are a couple million ivory worth of late-game unicorn tech tree upgrades. But even those aren't anything to worry about. By the time you unlock them you'll probably have the ivory to buy them without any special effort.

The caravanserai workshop upgrade also takes 10k ivory. But again, by the time you unlock it you'll probably have the ivory.

Mostly it's just the naga trade, and there's only a very small window of the game where that's useful. There are too many other far-more-important uses for gold than to waste it on trading with nagas just to feel like you're not wasting ivory: temples, trading posts and the zebra/dragon trades. But I suppose if you haven't unlocked any of those, go for it.

     I'm building both temples and trading posts now, (and ampitheatres), and only just unlocked theology, trying to build/save up the science for ironwood huts.  I am not entirely sure when I want to do my first reset, currently at 48 kittens, seems like I might want to wait until 71, unless I just let it keep going until it becomes a chore to babysit.  My main concern is/was/has been balancing wood/mineral generation, but ... that's the challenge, right?

Edit: Can someone recommend a decent, and free, image hosting service?  the one I used to use has been taken over by a more business orientated service and they keep requesting that I trial their business options ... which is pissing me off.

    When does that become available?  I only have three trade options - Lizards, Sharks and Griffins - can't find anything else.
   Never mind, just got the nagas, and all that sweet ivory can just fuck off find a new home.

     Is there another use for Ivory?  I guess I may have too many hunters who have collected over 17k units of ivory, which is very slowly being consumed.

I just updated, the sniper rifle's damage has been changed from 50 to 36 + 25% accuracy.

     ...but, sniping rifles get a damage bonus based on firing accuracy, (haven't looked to see how much yet), so even more reason to give them to the gals with best shooty skillz.

Edit: Sorry, I have just realised that was exactly what you just said, but I didn't read it right.

   Selected highlights:

     *New Weapon: ... Super Shooty Gun, Long Range Flamer ...  :D
     *Moar Alcohool: Wine  :D
     *Flamethrower costs increased   :'(  ...and smaller clips, more TUs to fire....  :'( :'(
     *Acid Flask Accuracy buffed.

    Overall, flamethrowers and incendiary weapons have received various nerfs, perhaps wisely as flames have such a big impact on morale, looking forward to upgrading and doing a lot more research into the new weapons and other projects.

To honour this sad day, I will name my trusty gun "Goodslaya". What? Spelling? Sorry, I can't hear you over the slayiness of my rifle.

   With the number of times you have saved my life, Rince Wind, it was the least I could do.  For now, let us down a few barrels of grog to honour our fallen, then polish our weapons for the 'revenge engagement' which is certain to be soon.

     It might also be beneficial to transfer some experienced, unclaimed Gals over to Waco and Hell-hole, then get new rookies at Booty, so the most experienced Gals can babysit and hopefully keep the majority alive until they can rank up.

    Strength affects how far you can throw grenades/knives/etc, but you could also carry heavier weapons, heavier armour.
     The Amazon 'Armour' actually increases a lot of the attributes that a grenadier would find useful - more TU, Stamina, Bravery, {you'd have to be brave to wear it}, Strength, Throwing Accuracy and Melee Accuracy.  Unfortunately it provides little extra protection from anything other than laser weapons. And slightly lowers Firing Accuracy.

     The dark part is your innate 'skill' level when you were recruited, while the lighter part is the level of improvement caused by training, experience - and some equipment can raise your skill levels.  The empty part of the bar is what you have lost due to wearing Tac Armour (-15 TU and -10 Stamina), you can also lose TU from carrying too much.

     I've only just begun manufacturing the first batches of ammo, they are equivalent to DUC ammo, and it is only for a few weapons, one of which I do use - the Death Blossom SMG.

     Did you make/use the nuclear ammo for ballistic weapons?
     Most of my crew are using Commando Rifles/Smart Rifles, nobody uses melee, there is grenade-spam, and there is also grenade-launcher grenade-spam.
