Bit belatedly, now that I'm back to having both internet and power, it seems like wind turbines aren't really a factor among the people who are actually in charge of fingerpointing, from what I've seen? The governer's been blaming the power companies having been told to winterize their stuff back in 2011 and having not done so, but no doubt general top-down policy has probably hindered the ability for said companies to actually get funds for all that shit, making it another "never my fault" situation.

ERCOT, last I checked hasn't responded with any blame-gaming just yet, only indicated that they were suffering damages and overload in general.

At this point it's overtly clear to anyone with common that the republican reactions to the second impeachment were generally made in bad faith to undermine them, and at this point I'd write off anyone defending those actions as arguing in bad faith themselves.

Exactly this. The police response was deliberately half-assed out of terrorist sympathies from start to finish. From the utter lack of preparation when they knew well in advance there would be a shitshow, to what little police response was available being FURTHER compromised by the types who'd take selfies with domestic terrorists, to fuckery that went into delaying the National Guard response, to gently leading the fuckers out of the capital once things finally started to wind down.

I wouldn't call it coincidental that the ensuing crackdown was spearheaded by the FBI, a department that Trump had done everything in their power to alienate and piss off since day one. Which sadly just makes me worry that even the FBI doing their damn job might well be just as politically-motivated as the various other departments and their reasons for NOT doing their job.

Ask any murdered environmentalist or civil rights advocate that tried to stop <insert major oil company name here> a pipeline from being built in <insert third world country of choice here>

True, I was thinking more cyperpunk-style corporate warfare but I guess we've already been in the future.

Please Fix this for Linux users :
if you press F12 (True Fonts) then you cannot start a game and it will crash :

Dwarf_Fortress: src/g_src/ttf_manager.cpp:139: ttf_details ttf_managerst::get_handle(const std::list<ttf_id>&, justification): Assertion `pixel_width >= ttf_width' failed.
Aborted (core dumped)

BTW i installed the vanilla DF with no TWBT , no df-hack , etc .
If anyone knows how to fix it pls tell me
BTW i know i can turn off True font or use TWBT but i want True font CAUSE IT'S NICE  ;D

Fixed that for you.

So apparently they've voted on whether to give Greene the boot, and tally includes 11 republicans voting yes too. When you reach a double-digit number of your own party willing to kick you out, I think that's officially a sign you've fucked up.

Isn't she also the one that carries a gun in congress? Wanna bet she goes postal?

EDIT: Removing her committees rather, not quite the same as expulsion.

When you've angered the Canadians, that's when you know you've fucked up.

To be fair, even demons and bogeymen are civilized animal people when Rumrusher gets their hands on them. XP

People with forced periodic body transformations, a corpse animation effect, or NOT_LIVING were the ones I was targeting

NOT_LIVING I can see being the most problematic for modders given there may be non-biological civilized creatures afoot. How easy would it be to add an additional syndrome class for generated ressurection syndromes to the hardcode, and exclude those? Like how vampires and werebeasts have a syndrome type to look out for that prevents stacking curses.

And now I'm already pondering the rabbit hole that is featherwork, upon trying to decide whether I can add any other good uses for feathers in my mod.

I might even add it to fortress mode too, but I'd need to see if items made out of feathers will stockpile or not...
