This is to be expected since bubble sort takes quadratic time to sort a list and in fact is particularly bad even for quadratic-time sorts.

I believe that railgun shots have the same damage profile as carronades and particle beams, which is some sort of hybrid between the laser's deep penetration and the wide craters formed by missile impacts. The main advantage of railguns is that they have a considerably higher power efficiency than energy weapons (a railgun does one third more damage than a laser of the same calibre, but consumes the same amount of power per shot)

Boost the oxygen pressure to 0.1 atmosphere (you shouldn't run into problems with high oxygen concentration), get rid of the sulphur dioxide as it's a toxic gas (which will cause the planet to have a minimum colony cost) and add some greenhouse gas (either carbon dioxide or safe greenhouse gas) until the temperature is acceptable.

When it says that you detected 5 strength 8 nuclear explosions, were those because of your anti-missile missiles? If so, is it the case that high strength nuclear explosions can destroy multiple missiles in a single salvo?

Alright then. I will make diplomatic overtures to Indonesia, Malaysia and New Zealand (using $1M for each country) then buy 2 destroyers at my unnamed Western Australia base, then improve the cities of Hobart, Perth, Darwin and Adelaide. This should use up all my funds for this turn.

Australia will accept all offers of free trade, then build a base in Western Australia, then build a destroyer at this base, then improve the cities of Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. This should cost us 6 million USD, leaving us with 4 million USD. Wait, is the list of actions you provided earlier exhaustive, or can we really do whatever we want?

Engineer Brigades occupy the same space as 5 normal battalions.

And do I even need the drop module? Or would I need more.
The only other differently sized troop is the Marine Company, which takes one fifth of a normal battalion (and can obviously fit into a company sized space, though I am not sure if you can combine company sized spaces into battalion sized spaces). You only need drop modules if you want to put troops on a planet quickly (like if you were trying to make a contested landing on an enemy planet) or if you want to board another spacecraft. If you put troops in drop modules for any substantial period of time, their morale drops quite significantly.

You actually want the Wealth/Trade tab on the economic window. The economic window also has your total race wealth in the title bar.
