Also, if you're having two stats boosted, I'd halve the stat gain to balance it out. 1 per 2 levels should be enough.

1d16 for the Gunlance, 1d12 for the shield and 3 RES for the armour. Also, you'll want a RES/CON boosting item, not CON/SYN for a tank.
