Are you a hero because you want the admiration of others, or are you a hero because you want to protect them?
If you wish to protect them, then it doesn't matter what they say, no matter what. You're doing the right thing. There will always be those who act ungrateful, who refuse to believe in you, who don't understand what you sacrifice to fight their side. Their words don't matter and will never matter. There will be those who believe in you, like me. Those who know what you do, those who thank you. On their behalf, I thank you for what you've done.
If you truly fight as a hero, the opinions of others doesn't matter, as long as you are doing what's right. As long as you protect others, as long as you have a good heart, it doesn't matter what others think of you, only that you always remain a good person, and that we who truly know who you are.....we'll stand by you.
It doesn't matter who you are, as long as you're still doing what others don't dare to do; fight the good fight. That's what's important, not what someone says or does because they don't understand you."
