She staggers and responds by dashing to her side, allowing Aesford's momentum to wrench his arm off of her elbow and allow herself to move out of his grasp once more.

It seems Penelope is fast enough to match him. She executes a combat roll to get out of his way, immediately swinging her elbow back to catch him in the side before swiftly turning to keep facing him.
