Stephanie approaches her old friend, scooping her up in a hug before she can react. The weather-wielding girl yelps in surprise, before realising who it was who just hugged her.

"Sweet Sculptor, Steph? It's been so long! How have you been?"
"Doing fine, Kaya. Nice to see you're still here at Solrise. My brother not giving you too much trouble?"
"No, not at all. He's....well, you know Steven. Reeve, I assume you two've just met?"

Delwyn
"Huh. I...well....I....I guess that's...I really...."
Andreas seems a little lost for words.
"....you know, when you put it like that, that makes way more sense."

Astrea
"She'd normally be here to blow off steam but....well, when she's really feeling down, she usually heads out to the lake."

Mordecai
"Nothing at all, Mordecai. I'm just here to check on my students, is all. How are you finding things?"

Arnett
"Of course! I've made some progress on my dissertation, um...well....my mom sent some food from home, too! That was nice. Um, do you want some?"
Annika sounds a little awkward when she says that.

At Keith's provocation, Orobas almost seems to crack a good-natured grin. Almost.
"Like I said, boy. The loser's not the one who goes down. The loser's the one who gives up."

He flicks the mace he's planted into the ground.
"I'm not going to need this to thrash you. Only my hands. Man to man. Fist to fist."
"Those are my new clan members. They understand what it means to win and lose. Clan Rhadamanthus, demons of tenacity, aspect of Pride. Something even a pasty-faced upstart like yourself can understand is a virtue."
"Last man standing, huh? In that case, you'd best be ready, boy."
"The only thing left standing when I'm done with you will be your boots."

Keith's opening salvo of punches does soften up Orobas significantly. Indeed, despite his chronological age, Keith is surprisingly agile, given his vampiric physiology. He manages to get in hailing a series of punches on the old demon, forcing him, however temporarily, on the defensive.

However, what Orobas lacks in agility, he more than makes up for in durability and strength. A single sturdy and firm punch knocks Keith away from Orobas. He flicks his wrist out hopping in place.
"Tch. Not bad. Not bad at all."

Meanwhile, on the other side of the battlefield, Yliss makes a threat towards Miria and Trish.
"Alright, kiddo. Bring it."
"Oh, you'll bring them a show they'll never forget? How'll you do that? Will you...beat me with that sword? Slashing away my armor to try to get at the squishy parts beneath?"
"Hailing blow after blow upon me as I stand here, helpless, unable to fight back, suffering all that exquisite pain...."
"Maybe you'll taunt me a little, to make it sting a little harder and then you'll keep going relentlessly, pounding me into the ground....oh Goddesses!"
"....what is wrong with you?"
"I've been asking that question since she and I shared a dorm."


Meanwhile, Jenkins does a very bold play, and may or may not have gotten away with it.

"A talented Goddess such as myself knows how to hide their true talents, after all.

Keilee surges forwards to set the mysterious stranger's robes on fire with her newly acquired fire tome. The conflagaration envelops the mysterious being,  their robe going up in smoke and obscuring their presence.

~~Enemy Phase~~
Kazuto grins audaciously at Keith's challenge.
"You AND Rio, Keith? Fine by me, I'll take you both on-"
"The vampire's MINE, boy!"

[Now Playing: Theme of Orobas ~Pledge of Demon~]

A red-skinned fist swings into Kazuto's face and out of the smoke produced by Keilee's spell as he lunges forward, staggering him. Rena, almost instantly, yells and swings her flail at the attacker, only for him to catch the flail and throw Rena back towards her partner.

The newcomer throws off their now burning, smoking robe, stepping forward in front of Kazuto's team. In one hand, a wicked-looking black hunk of metal, barely shaped into the semblance of a mace hangs almost limply from a gauntleted hand, the spikes leaving furrows on the ground. Thinking briefly, he plants the mace head-first into the ground next to him.

"OROBAS! OROBAS! OROBAS!"
A chant cries out from the crowd as the hooligans who showed up painted in red stand up, raising signs to spell out his name.

Orobas Centimani Rhadmanthea

Kazuto pulls himself to his feet.
"You....here? Now? Why you-"
"Pipe down, boy. I'm not here for you. You remember what happened the last time we crossed paths. No, I'm here for him."

He points a gnarled finger at Keith. Orobas cracks his knuckles, his eyes fixed squarely on Keith.

"You and I aren't done yet, Piper. Not. By. A. Long. Shot."
"...oh boy."
"Kazuto! Are you okay?! Here let me-"
"I'm fine, Rena. Really. Let's....just not get in his way."
"Wait. You know this guy?"
"Not voluntarily."

Map objectives and map updated.
Stats updated.

"Well, big red man or not, I dunno who you are, lil' lady, but when I gotta, I gotta!"
The stony gargoyle descends upon Shoes....

"O, blackness blacker than black, darkness condensed into the void, summon forth from the abyss that which cannot be resealed in the name of destruction. Let this unfortunate soul be cleansed in the void-borne flames of creation from the ocean between the worlds!"
"MEGIDDO FLAME!"

A tall, Revivian lady strolls forward in front of the Warriors, dressed in some odd uniform in the style called "sayfuku", as transliterated by fashion houses native to Generia. Her gloved hands are sparking with electricity.

"Nice to finally meet the Warriors in person."
"Don't interfere, little bird. This is beyond your purview."
"You people keep firebombing our office. I think purview went out the window after that, pasty-face."

Less to her shock, however, there doesn't seem to be any sign of Steven.

However, there appears to be a Kaya quietly training at one of the dummies, launching what appears to be blasts of rock at a dummy.

"Well, I might as well come and say hi to her, too. You coming along?"

As the group advances upwards, a group of serious-looking officials mounts the stage.
"Miss....Selene, was it? Your sister has requested your presence in Wybernia. She needs someone to pay the bail again. Officers, please arrest the man in black."

Some of them grab Vlad, wrestling him into handcuffs.
"Vlad of Team F, you are under arrest by the City of Ishim for five counts of littering. And only because that's all we could pin on you. Those poor orphans never got over those fires and I swear on Rhea we'll prove you set them. Sorry, Team F. You'll need to find someone to sub in for you."

The officials take away Vlad, and Selene tags along with them, presumably to retrieve her sister from Wybernia.

"...I guess uh....Milly, you wanna....come in?"
"....sure."

With that, the three women leave the party to ascend onto the board.

A cloaked figure takes position near the front of Kazuto's team. They seem to brush past the others, prompting Kazuto to call over to Trish.
"Wait, who's this? Trish, did you bring someone with you?"
"They're not with me, buddy."
"Rena?"
"The officials just popped this guy over as we went up here and said he was here to be slotted into a training match. Didn't say why."
"Right. Well. Okay. Buddy, whoever you are, just....follow our lead, okay? It's an exhibition match. We gotta look good."

No response can be discerned from the cloaked figure.

A loud, booming voice fills the arena, presumably the announcer, as the groups take their position.
"Goooood morning, people of Ishim City! At the Midgardia National Stadium today, we have a real star-studded match! On the blue side, we have none other than the one, the only Team F! They need no introduction!"

A surprising level of cheers follows the mention of your team's name.

"On the red side, we have Great Grandee! Dragon-slaying, princess-saving, swashbuckling legends in their own right!"

More cheers.

"Without much further ado, let's get this match started!"

"Alright, well....we're still sorting out the final roster. For all I know, I might end up being the vocalist if another student agrees to do clarinet and we're looking for someone on piano. We also don't know when exactly we're doing the after-party. So, you good with any other instruments?"

"What? No, of course not! I couldn't ask you to be Dora! But....well, you have a point. Hey, you seem pretty laid back and you keep up with those guys. How do you do it?"

You feel Professor Ramsay would be lifting an eyebrow at you, if only his face was visible.
"Alright, well, if you go and collect some information from your classmates, we'll be able to put together some commissions. I have the ones from the other classes and I have some other students coming in to help. Do you definitely want to do this?"

Ilse sighs as Rika comes to help.

As you go towards the yelling, you see Kaede yelling at someone who seems to be clambering over the Academy's walls away from her.
"Hey! Come back here! Don't you dare run away from me, you creep!"

At that, Annika's eyes light up.
"Did you really get better at using your Arte?"

"Huh. Right. Well....shall we get in? I think your team's coming up."
Indeed, you see the rest of "Great Grandee", as Trish had called them, moving up. With that, you enter the stadium.
The two teams walk into the main arena area, Surrounding them are rows upon rows of seats, with seats slowly filling with spectators. A suspicious amount of people with red paint on their skin seem to be sitting in the stands, resembling the hooligans you fought the day before.

In front of you, somehow, looks like a piece of land taken out of the wilderness. Small groves of trees can be found dotted around the arena, along with rocks and small ponds.
"Geomantic magic. It's really crazy how they can simulate an actual battlefield in here with that, huh?"

"Well, not quite. Climbing giant mountains for fun is, well, for fun. I'm more the muscle for scientists who want to do expeditions on mountains. They're not exactly known for knowing their way around a carabiner, so they hire people like me to get them up there to do their thing. Also, you're one of those Polyions, huh? Real old money."

The tone of her voice is ambivalent as to if she approves or disapproves. She shrugs after a moment.
"Alright, we're looking for him, right? Cool. Let's go. Hopefully he's not gotten himself into trouble over Kaya again."
Reeve has accepted the sidequest 'Cats at Play'.

"Just do what you're comfortable with, you know? We're not some professional band."

It's rather unusual to be called by your first name, but then, Ilse wasn't exactly someone you spoke with often.
