I don't see why Mio, for one, would trust them less. They've got stakes to deal with in their own world that they're the only ones capable of handling by dint of being the only people with experience.

I mean, Mio would leave herself, but she knows her friends can handle it. For all she knows, the other Hunters in their world won't.

The issue I see with the RWBY plot starting like this... this will alienate the RWBY characters from the others when they get back. There won't be as much trust.

Why's that?

Ayane just stares at the spectacle. From the look on her face, she's either contemplating retirement or jumping off a building to not deal with this crap.
