"Well, because we're not exactly unknowns ourselves, the stadium proprietor approached us. He asked us if we wanted to put an exhibition match on. Offered us ten thousand rhea for it. Buuut....we figured, we don't need all the money, so we said we'd think about it. We WERE going to turn him down, until we ran into you guys. So.....we're thinking, your group and ours, go up in a exhibition match tomorrow and we split the winnings, five thousand Rhea a group, since it's just for kicks anyway."

"It seems the spinning of the wheel of fate has deigned to reunite us. Fear not, for I, La Princesse Isabeau, will demonstrate my unrivalled power today, though I fear that I may leave you gasping and trembling in terror at my unrivalled puissance."
"She's happy to see you too."

1428
"Well....anyway, as we should probably not stand around crying about something we can't do something about, I....actually have a proposition. Well, we sorta do, as a group, anyway. You guys know about the exhibition matches they hold down in the stadium in Harel District, yeah?"

Minato rubbed his chin, thinking.
"If we're pretending to be clubbers, we should all go in together. It looks natural to have a group of friends walking in, and it minimises the chances that some random's going to approach us while we do our work. If we went in pair by pair, Yuki and Faith here might get held up. Of course, Shef's going to get side-eyed no matter what, so....that's going prove an issue."

1430
"So this is the new transfer student."

Steven strolls into the room, flanked by Katarina, Theodora and Andreas. Isabeau lifts an eyebrow at him, the Matagot studying him curiously.
"And who might you be, fortunate peasant I may now grace with my dark presence? Art thou a fellow prince, perchance? For you carry yourself with the presence of one."
"I am Steven Harrigan, representative of Class 3-A. You might call me a prince, of sorts. The Harrigan family has a....history with the Elerian Order, you might say. I came here to inform our comrades that we four will be providing backup to your sector. Professor Ververs thought it prudent as the Order will be assisting the other group and having us present there would leave the defenses somewhat thinly spread. I hope you are ready. We make landfall in twenty minutes."

He briefly gazes over at Kaya.
"Kaya. It's good to see you."
Kaya simply smiles back and waves.

"Yeah, so.....don't hesitate to call us for help! I mean, we won't be nearby, but...we'll be in the same sector. Yeah."
"We will be flanking to ensure no Fiends slip past the defensive perimeter."

1431
"And you are the angel of flame who destroys her enemies from afar with the apocalyptic flames drawn from the heart of a dying star. I, Isabeau du Archambault, Dark Princess of the Tenebrous Kingdom, Scion of the Wheel of Fate and Master of the Unbound Storm, have found someone truly worthy of my attention. Our alliance will be legendary."
"My lady means to say 'nice to meet you'."

1432
"Hark! It seems I will be fighting alongside fellow Warriors of the Light! Though I walk in the darkness, it is always good to have companions who stray away from the tenebrous paths that destiny oft makes us tread."
"The feeling is mutual, Rika."

1433
Professor Estelle calmly taps the desk in front of her with a rod to get everyone's attention.
"Oh. Class, before I forget, you will be having two new members join you. Professor Ramsay has requested we take his Automaton with us, and so Miss Olviia will be joining you for the mission. Also, if you have yet to meet our new transfer student-"

The doors to the room bust open as Isabeau bursts in, the Matagot prancing in behind her. Isabeau looks flushed, as if she'd been running.
"Sorry, I'm....I mean, behold, subjects of York! I, Princess Isabeau du Archambault, have arrived to grace you with my umbral presence!"
"My lady was simply caught up....inspecting the workings of this vehicle. Such wondrous devices are not common in her homeland."

Professor Estelle looks signifcantly nonplussed.
"....."
"Anyway, this is Isabeau Archambault, a transfer student from the continent. Starting today, she will be joining you in your classes and any combat exercises you will carry out. Please make sure to watch out for your new classmate."

1434
"We've a feeling they might know something. Apparently, nobody knows where he went and he's been missing a while."

1435
Junius and the Chiefs look to each other, before shrugging and following the lady through to the other carriage.

Nico simply exhales in relief.
"Man, we've been fighting all night. At least we can take a breather for a bit."

1436
"Well, there IS one Demon General you haven't asked yet. Or tried. Beelzebub."

Quote from: Lastelle vs Runner Specialist A
(Lastelle learns from others' mistakes!)
(Lastelle thinks attacking Xerxe's unforgivable!)
(Lastelle's Anti-Magic activates!)
(Xerxe's Support Activates!)

Lastelle initiates!
Hit Rate: 97 to hit
Hit: 11, hit!
Critical: 2, crit!
Runner Specialist A takes 69 damage!

Runner Specialist A is defeated!
The last Runner is dispatched with the back of a scythe butted into his head, and he hits the ground like a plank, arms at the side and weapons falling away.

Junius looks calm as he hefts his sword back over his shoulder.
"That should be the last of them, Warriors. I hope that-"

The sounds of more glass crashing can be heard, as more Runners arrive through the windows, weapons at the ready, surging up the carriages and through the path of destruction left by the Warriors (and the Chiefs). Before they can get far, however....
"Oh, for the love of all things unholy, can a girl get a gods-damned NAP?"
A transparent wave of energy washes over the carriages, starting just past the Warriors, sweeping over the incoming Runners.

Almost instantly, the Runners collapse to the ground, snoring and sound asleep.

The source of the wave pinches her nose, closing her eyes, before turning to the others.
"And if YOU guys make that much racket too, you're following them into Dreamland. Now go through to the next carriage, get some seats, sit the hell down and shut the hell up!"
She stomps through the door leading to the next carriage, leaving it open for the others to follow through.

"....what was up with that?"

"So....we're back to square one then. Either we beat the crap out of everyone in our way and get the answers from good old Mephisto himself, or we find this Billy Gunn and ask him about it, but....well, with that, we wouldn't even know where to start. That dungeon had been there a while."

1439
"Did the Demon Generals you guys ran into say anything about this? We've been trying to figure out if we can confirm or deny anything in here but....well, the Goddesses aren't talking. And no, we didn't. We kinda got jumped by a pack of mimic chests in the dungeon while we were in there and we only had time to grab the books and go."

1440
"No, and that's what makes things weirder. See....the book says that....way back when, at the beginning of time, the demons were led by this unknown Demon Lord. Didn't say what happened to them, or where they went, or how, but.....at some point, Mephistopheles took over."
"We did find a bunch of old....whatchamacallits....stained glass windows in that dungeon. Obviously we didn't bring 'em, but we figured they were connected. If Fantine here was right about the assumption.....well, the old Demon Lord was really more of a Demon Lady. Tall, red-headed, giant rack....kinda like that one chick from that light novel about the demon lord and the hero working together."
"The author was someone called....Billy Gunn. Kazuto said he was probably a Revivian."
"That's the weirder part. How the hell does a Revivian....an American Revivian at that....know so much about the demons? That's more than we do and we've been looking for months. Of course this book's apparently OLDER than the first time Revivians ever even went here, but....at this point, we're trying to figure out if this book's a bunch of lies or if we're onto something."
