The problem is having the option of stats in the first place. It's all well and good when you try to stat up people who conform, but try and stat up, say, Hana, who by definition is unkillable unless someone could destroy every single piece of gaming related knowledge simultaneously. It wouldn't work out.

The trouble is the implications of sending children on dangerous missions. This isn't RWBY, ya know.

Eh. It's probably because there's justifiable reasons in setting for such protection. As for the highschool setting, it's just what we're familiar with.
