"Hm. Alright. You two get back out there, then. Minako will probably start worrying and I need to do something first."
"Yeah. We'll see you."

When Miyuki and Haruka leave Kazuma be, he takes a moment.
"..."
"...maybe this might be the day my debt is paid back."
"Ehh? Misaki's right. How did you fight so many?"
"I had some...issues I need to work out. It was useful exercise."

Suddenly, someone knocks on the wall leading to the room.
"Come in!"
"Wait, is that Nana? Who could that be?"

"My, my so many of you."

Setsuna strolls in, carrying a binder of files with her.

"S-Setsuna?! W-wait, why is she here?"
"Kamisato? Well, well. What're you doin' here?"
"Oh. Well, that's quite simple."
"I will be working with you from this day forth."
"...excuse me?"
"EHHHHH?! IgettoworkwithKumon-senpaiandKamisato-senpai?!?!?!"

"You two should also be careful with Fire Soul. Even if we're right, who knows what will turn up?"
Azusa grins.
"Heh. If Javi wouldn't keelhaul me himself, I'd take you out drinking, talk about the good ol' days, even before Banjo and Red joined up. Back when it was me and Mina against the world. And Javi, well....he's got his own stories."
"You're flattering me, Azusa."
"The boss was a Mirager himself back in the day, didja know? Did the whole thing solo."
"That was a long time ago, Azusa. Don't worry about it."

"Mirages are among what's left of magic. Well, you'd have to ask Freydis, she knows far more about it. It's a ton of alchemy and stuff. I know the basics, but I've always been more of a fighter and a businessman than a scientist."
Javier points at his broken arm.
"Well, at least until I got rusty."

Kazuma sighs.
"What do you want to do then, Haruka?"
"While I....don't want to believe that the Fire Soul Agency is involved, I can't not try and look into them knowing it might lead to Kana. I..."
Kazuma thinks briefly.
"Hm. I'll look into the black Mirager myself. You two handle the investigation into Fire Soul."
"Kazuma?"
"Our only leads right now are that the black Mirager might be linked to Fire Soul, but I don't know that for certain. Miyuki, your sister is working for Fire Soul, so this is the perfect excuse for you to keep an eye on her and fulfil our investigation in one fell swoop."
"I don't think we'll find anything, but we have our marching orders. If I find anything, I'll keep you two posted, and you two keep me posted if you find anything."
"...if you can find proof that the black Mirager is Kana...please tell me. I...if it's her, I..."
Haruka exhales.
"I almost don't want it to be her."
"...I know."
"Sadly not, Araki."
"The building was unattended, so, given that this one will have at least one or two Miragers present at any one time, that'll probably keep an Amanojaku away. Also, the Professor has worked on some....prototype anti-Amanojaku protection systems based on..."
He scratches his head.
"...heretical alchemy. I'm not entirely sure what that is, but she says it should work to ward the place against Amanojaku."

Haruka nods, as she and Miyuki follow Kazuma behind the corner, where Kazuma talks in hushed tones.

"...alright. Our employers have asked us to do this, but I want to keep this between the three of us, since I don't entirely trust this and I want to know what Minako knows first."
"Our marching orders, aside from dealing with Amanojaku attacks, is to investigate Fire Soul in connection with the Amanojaku attacks."
"What?!"
"I don't believe it either. Apparently, Professor Ormrsdottir is...well, there's no way to put it. There's only three individuals in Japan with the skill to make Mirages. One is working for the EUFON Agency, and one is operating with the Kazanaris. If that Mirage is something new, Professor Ormrsdottir is one of the only people who could have made it."
"We can't just...there's no way someone like Kumon, or someone like Shirogane would be tied up in something like that."
"Those are our orders. We can't disobey, but...there's something fishy there."
Kazuma rubs his chin.
"You also said you had something you wanted to check with Professor Ormrsdottir. About the Mirager from last night."

At that, Haruka looks as if she had cold water suddenly splashed on her.

"..."
"I can't...shake the thought, Kazuma."
"Professor Ormrsdottir said that Mirage resonance, like what I felt...only happens between siblings or people with natural Biorhythm connections. I know it's stupid, but...Kazuma, that Mirager. If there's even a CHANCE-"
"Haruka, you know that's impossible. You saw it happen yourself. I did too. We were both in that disaster together."
"Kazuma, I..."

She looks to Miyuki.
"You'd understand. My younger sister, Kana...she died in that disaster seven years ago, the one that hit the city. But, before she did...she had this....she found a Mirage, and she used it to try to protect us, but the Amanojaku were too strong for her and..."
Her breath hitches in her chest. She clenches her fist.
"Haruka..."
"I...I think the Black Mirager might be my sister. Or maybe there's something else going on. I...I'm not sure, but with how Professor Ormrsdottir described Mirage resonance, it makes sense-"
"It's been seven years, Haruka. Surely she would have turned up by now if it was her, right? It can't be Kana. She..."
"...Miyuki. You...you understand that feeling. You've always wanted to protect Misaki, right? If there's even a CHANCE that the black Mirager is Kana, I have to find and protect her, and if she isn't, I need to know why it felt like we had some kind of connection. It doesn't feel right if I don't try to figure this out. You get me, right?"
Javier shakes his head.
"The Amanojaku attacked their building. Nobody got hurt, but the place is levelled. Everything above the basement got blasted. We think it's related to the black Mirager or whoever she's working for."

"The evidence suggests that it was an Amanojaku attack. Traces of False Biofold Waves were detected, similar to those emitted by Amanojaku. At the moment, we're operating under the assumption it was an Amanojaku attack."
Suddenly, Kazuma's phone rings.
"Excuse me."
He heads off for a few minutes. Harsh whispering can be heard around the corner.

After a few minutes, Kazuma returns. He looks over at Minako for a moment, before looking towards Miyuki and Haruka.
"Do you two mind accompanying me a moment?"
Javier rubs the back of his head.
"It would appear that...we're neighbours with our EUFON friends for a while, and they'll be training and dancing with us."

"Your personal belongings were stored underground, so the recovery teams were able to find most of them."
"However, you're right about our Quartz Fold stores. Most of them were obliterated in the attack."
Kazuma shakes his head at Momiji.
"No. We suspect it was linked to the Black Mirager or potentially whoever was working with her, however, since the attack took place shortly after she retreated."
"For the moment, the higher up have procured a new location and an arrangement for Quartz Fold."
At this, Minako interjects.
"I'll need to clear it with Professor Ormrsdottir....but Fire Soul will be providing extra Quartz Fold for EUFON's teams. We have a surplus of our own, thanks to Azusa's requirements."
"As for headquarters, the EUFON Agency has contacted us and via our agreement with the EUFON Agency, they'll be using two floors beneath Fire Soul as their new headquarters in Sendo. The papers were sent over this morning. Kazuma and I were talking about it over lunch."
"For now, men, we will be neighbours with the Fire Soul Agency. The agreement will allow us to use their training facilities and studios to prepare for Amanojaku combat and dance practice. Our operations will be based in the same building for the moment."

As the conversations upstairs begin to wind down, Javier comes into the room, his brow furrowed with concern.
"Hm."
"Javi. Somethin' wrong?"
"Maybe. Would you all follow me to the lobby?"
As the EUFON Miragers make their way to the front of the building, they find Kazuma and Minako conversing, a copy of the Sendo Enquirer, the city's top newspaper, in Minako's hand.

Kazuma looks at the gathered Miragers.
"I assume you all must have received the texts too. I have news for you about that."
"After the attack at the Sendo City Arena last night, we confirmed something. The EUFON office and training area was hit. Nobody got hurt, thankfully....but the place was totalled."

Tsubasa shrugs at Misaki.
"Probably because you look like one of the members of Morning Musume more than, well...Kumon-senpai. She's got the older, sexier look, so people don't question when she can curbstomp people's faces in. That and uh....the publicized kneecapping incident."

Tsubasa blinks as he sees the enthusiasm in Hikari's eyes.

Honestly, that was enthusiasm he wished he had. He hadn't felt like that about anything for as long as he'd lived. Seeing her have that almost child-like love for the industry...it was infectious.

"Pretty please?"
"You're hopeless. Fine. I'll go with it, I guess."
Damn it. Seriously? I caved so quick. What the hell are you doing to me, Minase?
"Eheheeheehee!"
"....has anyone told you you have a really weird laugh?"

"I would appreciate that, Miyuki. But I think your problem is somewhat more pressing. My sister is....not a problem we can deal with at the moment."
Hikari looks over Misaki, tapping her chin.
"I think...you have the looks for a more...cutesy vibe, but....then again, you don't like cutesy, so it'd have to be something that's a mix. Something cute that compliments your look, but with some edge because that's what you're really like."
