As Lin and Felix's weapons clash, arcs of lightning shoot between Felix and Lin, electrocuting the Belgor amidst the raging heat.

Despite Orrel landing a fierce blow on Theodora, a five-time tournament winner isn't going down so easily. His fans get parried away by Theodora's spear as she falls back, preparing to lunge at Orrel herself....

"...you're kidding me!"

Kaede looks rather frustrated as she heads off the floor while holding herself clearly in pain, shooting Cattelya a glare. Theodora, meanwhile, winces as the full impact of Cattelya's attack fully hits her. She seems almost....disappointed by Cattleya's interference in the fight between her and Orrel as she heads off.

"Andreas, Alicia, Idunn and Joel, I leave this to you. Good luck."

Andreas looks clearly crestfallen as she walks off to watch from the side.

Arnett takes the time to heal up his brother.

An ephemeral, translucent golden wisp of light projects itself from Joel, a thin thread of gold linking him to it, and surrounds Kaede.

As it turns out, no, bringing a sword to a gunfight is still a terrible idea in a fantasy world. Even if the gun is magic and technically won't kill you, just very badly singe you until you go away.

Despite Dola's athletic frame, it was true. Fighting wasn't on her list of priorities in recovering rarities, just a tool in an arsenal that she was not especially good at using. She was good enough at it to have survived thus far -Dola liked to think that she was handier with her fists than your average civilian- but she wasn't exactly an apparent blademaster or some weathered soldier.
