Nah. Ian was great, actually. He's the only reason the team members he DID heal aren't dead, looking at the calcs, although he MIGHT do with a bit of buffing to his damage and heal output.

At the very least, Sora, Alria and ItE might've gone down if Ian didn't heal them.

16772
Hikari just stares at Periw as if she's some sort of madwoman.
"We all nearly died and that 'interests' you."

Sora accepts the potato after Mio relinquishes her from the hug, nodding gratefully as she takes it.
"T-thanks....I-I never caught your name, b-but....thanks for helping me."

16773
Ah, right.

So much arcane maths and it looks so cluttered. e.e

I'll look at it properly in the morning. I can't think properly when I'm tired.

16774
I know what it translates to. What does it even mean?

16775
I'll have to read Alanis' character sheet before I approve any of that as I have absolutely NO idea what SL even means or does despite having read it at least twenty times.

Also, posting Sora's sheet here since I can't fit it on the other post with the other four Heroes.

Mio, for her part, just rushes over and hugs Sora tightly, not saying a single word.

Motya, Idou and Garnt = Real MVPs

Turn 6
~Battle Theme (Boss)~
Party B:
Player Turn:
Chryssa continues being rather irritated and starts kicking Vertexes in the face, that being her only useful ability right now. She plants 17, 16 and 20 damage respectively on them, but it doesn’t kill either of them.

The Primordial seems to stay in place, focusing on the distance. Specifically, the Pisces Vertex.

Alria attempts to slash wildly into the crowd, but they seem to part as she walks past, and she only manages to catch one, dealing 8 damage to one.

Suddenly, Mio swoops in blocking an attack on her spear Hero friend. She examines her closely, shaking her head.
”Sora? You look….hurt.”
”I-I’m fine…...r-really….”
The trembling posture of the spear-wielding Hero, her dishevelled face and teary eyes, along with some blood trailing down her side from wounds tells Mio she’s wrong. The brawling Hero stands up, crunching her fists together and breathing heavily, as if holding in rage. She looks to Motya, already walking towards Sora.
”......yes. Oh, yes, I’ll help defend this, alright.

Motya, thanks for the help. Keep her stable and make sure nothing gets at her. Sora, stay put. I'll make sure they won't hurt you anymore.”

With that, Mio leaps into battle, with a flash of purple petals enshrouding her fists before she slams into the first Vertex she can find. Suddenly, everyone hears the loud BANG of a shotgun as the unfortunate Vertex underneath her explodes into stardust. A new Fairy floats on her shoulder for a moment, before flickering out of existence. Mio cocks her gauntlets, a new shotgun attachment on top of them as she advances into the crowd to follow Alria.

Ian is quick to capitalise on her assault, charging up a jump to attack.

The spear Hero stays put, in awe of Mio and also because the good doctor is about to be treating her wounds.

Alanis blasts another two Vertex in the face with sheer force, causing them to explode from the sheer magnitude of the magic.

Idou arrives shortly after, jumping off of Mint Gale and landing on one Vertex with his kendo stick, killing it instantly with his attack. Eirika is next, and with a short, sharp yell, she impales one attempting to climb on Idou’s back with a spear before lobbing off the root, before it explodes into more stardust, dying on the process. Ayane arrives last, and with her the arrival of an invigorating smell fills the air.

Everyone is healed for 10% of their health +12. Sora and Big Daddy are no longer critical. It that Embraces, Alria, Ian, Alanis and Motya are now at full health. Ayane takes 8 damage as a result of the healing fatiguing her.

Big Daddy crushes another underneath his drill, killing it instantly.

Finally, Motya gets around to treating the last of Sora’s wounds, healing her to full health.

Everyone steels themselves for attack before…..realising the enemy isn’t moving for some reason.

This reason immediately becomes apparent when they look at the large Vertex their compatriots are fighting, far from them.

~Battle Theme (Fierce Battle)~
Party C:
Player Turn:
Hikari continues assisting Garnt with his attacks.

Tink builds another Heal-Mister, healing everyone for 6 HP.

”Let’s finish this!”
Chizuru repeats her laser attack!
First strike does 7 damage.
Second strike misses. This time, Chizuru seems a little disappointed.

The remaining Overclocker attacks the Vertex again, dealing 9 damage.

Suddenly, however, Anna soars over head, followed by Yuki.
Anna slams Vindicator into the side of the Vertex, dealing 20 damage. Yuki then follows up by smashing her shield into it, dealing 4 damage.

THEME OVERRIDE: ~Battle Theme (Gaping Dragon)~
Garnt moves faster than everyone else, however, and leaps onto the beast with his Twilit Sword. With the swiftness of whatever magic Hikari was using at his feet, the sword in his hand and the wounded beast in front of him, he had but one more task to finish.

Instead of executing his two-hit combo, he delivers a series of swift strikes to it, each strike eating away at the essence of the creature before finishing off with a mighty thrust, somehow finding the strength to run up its side, his sword guided by seemingly divine wind, as he delivers one final stab to it, ending it all.

Before anyone can blink, the creature explodes into stardust, entirely gone. The core remains, blinking for a second, but before Yuki, Chizuru and Hikari can move to seal it away, a darkness overwhelms it, and it simply…..disappears, as if it were never there, gone forevermore.

The Primordial, it seems, has taken her revenge. No matter. Victory was had in the end.

Even Sandra, successfully stabilising Ringo with her healing saliva, cannot help but watch as Garnt descends to the earth once more through the shower of stardust, landing perfectly on his knees and planting his sword in the ground.
Garnt has slain the Pisces Vertex.

The Horde of Mus Vertex suddenly retreat as their larger compatriot is destroyed utterly, now outnumbered by a group of powerful warriors capable of slaying them.
Y-you guys did it! They…...they ran away! You guys did it!

G-great job, everyone. K-keep it up!

The battle is won.
All members of Party B and C gain a level-up if they were not in Party A to receive one earlier.

((HE CAME THROUGH

TURN SOON))

16780
....it's the Pantokrator. He probably doesn't give a shit as long as Aine doesn't do anything to him. He doesn't exactly strike me as 'caring about an individual servant'.

Eh, closest I've got is EH!Yuri, and his got cut off by dint of nobody knowing him enough to actually get him to start talking and developing himself as a person.

16781
So, as I was saying, none of my characters. :P

16782
And of course, the world won't end because ONE of the thousands, possibly millions, of psychopomp entities is suddenly not doing his job. By establishing that there is in fact a race of dullahans, Aine's job is basically replaceable. In terms of that, he's nothing special unless there's something we haven't been told.

Aine has authority becuase his role in the world is more important and dullahan almost undoubtedly serve under the god of this universe so it's more aine has authority becuase he's a dullahan and that's it.
Except, as multiple people have pointed out, he lost any authority he thought he had over the school when he enrolled as a student. Until he is no longer a student, he has no authority over them at all.
They can still try and sneak out
They can try. Does it make it any likelier they'll succeed?

16783
OBEY
Technically Aine has slightly more authority then them since he can just say he's going to do his job and they probably don't have the right to intervene.
Yeah, no.

He came to the school to learn, he goes by their rules now. School rules > duty. You said it yourself, there's a race of dullahan capable of picking up the slack, and there's a thousand other types of psychopomp that can do it for dullahans. The Pantokrator probably doesn't give a shit about some hormonally unbalanced dullahan as long as he doesn't faff around being a wannabe god. Aine's not the only person who can bring the dead to the afterlife in existence.

16784
Basically, 'not Elf's characters' is a good rule of thumb.
