"What the....w-who are you? Y-you're not a Hero, are you?"
The girl jumps as she stabs one of the Vertexes with her spear and throws it off the root she's standing on into the ground below.

The grenade seems to blow apart a small part of the horde, but they seem to keep advancing towards the girl and Ian, which ItE and Alanis can clearly see.

Almost as if the GM is shittily forcing you to fight the bosses he's worked for two weeks on.
Sachi nods to everyone as they leave.
"I'll try to analyse them as much as I can."

Mio shakes her head, sighing.
"I'll head towards the flying Vertex, if anyone wants to follow me."
She heads off the ship and towards the flying creatures.

17012
Very well, he falls towards the horde, landing on one of the smaller Vertexes next to the girl with the spear.

As he lands, the giant Vertex's lone orb blasts the ship with a single ray, blasting apart one of the wings and forcing the ship down towards the ground.

The ship, luckily due to Periw's modifications and something about this dimension, manages to land next to the tree, but not in range for the weapons, if the ship even had any, to take out any of the Vertex regardless. The ship's balancing systems manage to keep everyone relatively intact and upright through the fall, but the ship itself isn't getting up any time soon.

17013
Where does he jump towards? The horde, the flying Vertexes or the lone giant Vertex?

17014
"To be honest, I'm not sure this ship HAS weapons."
((Unless Sanure would like to stat the ship's weapons up.))

17015
Tinkmaster builds a Coppycatter 9000.
[9] Oh. Oh dear.

The Copycatter explodes in Tink's face, covering them in soot and shrapnel.

Mio looks to Periw.
"It's a better idea to dismount and separate. If we use the ship's weapons only, we may not be able to stop all of them from destroying Shinju-sama."
She motions to the tree.

17016
The Gaster Blaster seems to be out of range for the attack, as it doesn't seem to want to fire from this distance. Or, you know, you're on the bloody ship and blowing a hole in it isn't a good idea.
"Patience! We need to land first and help my friends defend against these creatures. We'll do more damage that way than staying on board and focusing on one of the Vertexes at a time. Divide and conquer."

17017
"Part of it. This is the Jukai. This is where my friends and I do battle against the Vertex."

17018
Mio braces herself as they head towards the anomaly. Sachi takes a seat and tries to sit near Alanis.

The Overclocker is built and ready for action. It is successfully Upgraded.

The ship approaches the anomaly within the sensors and......from external sensors, seems to disappear straight into thin air.

Of course, that isn't true.

For the people within, they seem to have just been transplanted from one place to another, so to speak. One moment, they're in the deeps of space, approaching a seemingly empty area of space.

The next, they're....well, they're certainly not in space any more. They're not entirely sure WHERE they are.

The sky above them is a purple void, extending infinitely, with nothing- no stars, no sun, nothing- visible within the darkness. The only light radiates from the west, where a vast light seems to shine, lighting the void around it.

Anyone who looks this way sees something otherworldly; a vast, tree-like entity, seemingly extending infinitely into the void above, with multiple colours flickering in and out of existence within the 'trunk' of the structure. The 'roots' cover what seems to be the 'ground' of this reality, with thick and thin roots of various colours radiating outwards from the tree and into the distance, twisting and tangling with each other and diving into the soft ground, which seems almost ethereal and unreal with the vast amount of colours flowing through it. The beauty is almost captivating, but the occupants of the ship are snapped out of it almost instantly by the explosion that erupts from one of the big roots, nearer the tree.

As they turn towards it, they see five small figures, jumping away from the area of explosion, beating back a horde of equally small figures, with one figure causing large, golden explosions of light to engulf their opponents. The figures fighting off the horde seem to be clad in similar garments to Mio, and seem to be of similar age to her. In the distance behind them, a vast entity looms. It seems to resemble some sort of abstract shape, with a giant azure column forming what appears to be the main body, two golden extensions linking to small blue columns at the bottom, with a golden ring floating in the air behind it. A single orb, red in colour, is perched into the top of the column, firing off rays into the roots of the giant tree, causing explosions at the points of contact. To the left of that, a floating, ivory-coloured humanoid-like creature, mounted on a cloud, with its arms crossed and its featureless red circle of a face glaring down upon the tree. Small growths resembling horns protrude from its head, and smaller creatures resembling it in shape trail behind it.

Two pairs of the defending figures split off from the horde, each pair heading off to hold off one of the approaching groups of entities. The remaining defender, from what they can see a girl with a spear of some sort and a flag on her back, seems to brace herself with a defensive position against the horde of smaller enemies.

Mio presses herself against the nearest window. She looks very concerned.
".....three sets of Vertex on one day. That's never good.

Periw, set us near the tree."

[24] Tink succeeds in creating a functional, albeit rather rushed, breastplate for Alanis.

Name: Power Breastplate
Type: Armour
Effects: None
RES Bonus: 3 RES
Description: A rather hastily put-together piece of armour. It will do the job, but nothing else. It's certainly not comfortable, nor is it fancy.

17020
Do you mind telling me? :P

17021
They indeed get nearer and nearer to the anomaly, as Sachi heads off to make everyone tea.

As they approach the anomaly, the sensors start actually picking something up. It's.....an unidentified, never-before seen sort of anomaly. The databases identify it as closest to being a wormhole, but this seems like it's more than that. Sachi returns with tea for everyone, including honey for Alanis.

As that happens, Mio's phone starts blaring an alarm of some sort. She looks down at it, looking at the screen, which now has a black and red band labelled "Forestize Warning" in Japanese characters and English. Her eyes widen.
"....That's not good. Everyone, prepare for battle."

17022
Mio nods.
"I'm hoping it's a fluke. I don't know WHAT kind of threat they'd be needing to recall me for, if they sent me out in the first place."

17023
indeed
also
words have different meanings to different people and all
like
magic to mio involves punching shit
magic to a wizard would involve a lot of learning and stuff

17024
((I would assume THAT would require something more specific than 'Vertex'. There are various classes of Vertex, after all, and different ways of fighting each.))

17025
Well, what Mio meant by Vertex is probably best translated as "creatures from the sky what destroyed her reality and are bent on destroying what's left".
((She is not aware of what these things.....ACTUALLY are yet, for Twi's information. :P))
