That would be bad enough if the gods were intangible, like in ancient Greece, but she's SEEN the gods with her own eyes and seen their protection upon her world; hell, every time she uses Mankai, she's borrowing power from her gods to fight.
She's pretty justifiably pissed off someone's just insulted the entities to which her world owes its continued existence.))

"In our world, the year of two-thousand and fifteen was the last year we count as Before Shinju Era.
This is because, in our world, a cataclysm befell us during that very year; creatures called Vertex, almost incomprehensible abominations, turned our world into a literal burning hell. They descended upon our world, and killed almost everything, and everyone, they could find. Had they succeeded, the entire Earth would have been rendered into nothing.
The Shinju I refer to are our gods, who came down in our time of need and formed barriers around certain places around the world, protecting them from the Vertex with their very bodies. It is to them we owe our lives, and to them we pledge our allegiance. This has been the way it has been for seven centuries.
Our gods need help to protect our world from the Vertex, and so the Hero System was created, in order to turn people like myself into Heroes to protect everyone, and help repel them from what little safe havens remain. And we've claimed back parts of our world, but not all of it- so there is work to be done.
But, I think, we'll do it eventually."
