I'm not going to make the mistake of assuming this one, that DID just try to drag one of our group down with it, isn't hostile.

You saw it. It attempted to drag down Eirika with it, before I pushed her out of the way and attacked its tentacle. Until I have proof that it's not hostile, I'm going to defend myself if it attacks me. You disagree with me? Fine. But we've seen far more evidence of it being natively hostile than otherwise."
