Mio turns back, seeing Eirika trying to hack away at the beast.
I had better get them out of there before the beast turns on her. If all this magic and slashing won't work, neither will mine, even with my....secret weapon...
Sprinting back, Mio attempts to wrest Eirika away from the beast forcefully, using her magically-boosted strength to aid her.

Mio keeps running. Unlike these other mages, her magic did not extend to ranged projectiles and relied entirely on her being able to get in close; at least, without her secret weapon, anyway.
She does look a little irritated at being forced to run, but runs regardless. However, she stays close by, ready to turn face and attack if the opportunity presents itself or if the beast turns out to be weaker.
