Well, it wouldn't have to be an RTD. An SG or an RPG would be just as good: really, it's how you sell the idea of playing kaiju than the idea itself.
Like god games. Only there are tons of god games and no games about just being giant monsters worshipped like gods.

As for my ideas:
A game based on kaiju. Just fighting with kaiju.
Someone attempting to do a Persona game that didn't die out like mine.
Shin Megami Tensei- that is, a forum game (RPG or SG) based around summoning and fighting with demons and such.

Also, in terms of stats, do the pilot's and the robot's get added together? It sounds silly, but it doesn't say anywhere in the OP except if the generic 'unit' is meant to refer to both.
