"Doesn't matter how many new friends you bring, Piper. Gotta shake off the rust. Someone like you, you're not prepared to take on the Demon Lord. Not if you can't even get past me."
Benedict finally looks up to see Asuna. For a minute, he doesn't quite recognise her before...
"Huh. Fancy that. You're the girl from Cornelia. Uh, fancy running into you here. Asahi, this is that woman I was talking about, the one with the same problems as you had."
Asahi perks up, smiling and nodding at her.
"Ahah, another one of us. I'm Asahi, but I prefer to go by Beatrice, when not around people who....are aware of our problem. I believe you've already met my husband, Benedict."
"Sorry we had to meet under such....odd circumstances. In an ideal world, you'd have dropped in on our bakery, just a few streets down from here."
"We can help, if you'd like. Rosencrantz was a good boss, not like his, uh.....brother."

That's all the warning Keith gets before a red-skinned blur smashes the vendor out of the way, sending him sailing over the barrier into the ring area. A muscular fist sails through the air, one which Keith narrowly dodges through becoming intangible for a second and whirling around to see Orobas and his werewolf friend. In the old demon's other hand, an iron pipe can be seen, firmly grasped in his hand and in the old man's eyes, a blazing flame can almost be seen.

"I told you I'd get my rematch, boy."
"My, my. Orobas Centimani Rh.....well, Lucifea now, isn't it. Since you lost your domain."
"Shut your mouth, boy. This is between me and Piper here. A two-on-two fight, fist to fist. Unless you want to test me yourself, Morningstar."
"Some washout demon against myself, the Lord of Pride? I'd like to see you try."

Lycia seems almost like he desperately, really doesn't want to be there, simply quietly growling. Orobas grins at Keith.

"Get yourself ready, kid, and pick a partner. That Baron can have your ass after I'm done kicking it!"
"Outta the way, old man! He's mine!"
"Come here and kick my ass then, four-eyed excuse for a king! This is personal, between me and the vampire, and I ain't having some human get in the way of it!"

Some poor hooligan, having already taken a punch to the face and then a gnome hacking at his shins, is sent sailing over the barrier as Jarvis crashes into him with the force of a speeding bull, landing pretty hard at the bottom. A groan and the man trying to pull himself to his feet tells Jarvis he didn't just kill a random drunk, but judging from the crunch, he isn't getting up for round two.

You could live off the land there, but grain pays for clothes and things that you can't just hunt for, so that's what we farmed. But not always the same crops. Anyway, I learned a lot about farmin' out there, how you need to take care of some crops."

Before Yliss can move or the Baron can respond, something very....bad happens.

The reason that the audience was so disgruntled to begin with was because, to be frank, they came here for a fight. The Baron, being tougher than expected, wiped the floor with almost every single opponent in the arena, which, of course, for many people, was not worth the ticket. The crowd had gradually grown rowdier and rowdier, waiting for someone, anyone, to give them the fight they were there for.....until Keith arrived. While some people approved, others recognised Keith.

To be exact, one particular man who Keith- or rather, Vlad- had set fire to his tavern.
"YOU?! You BASTARD! I'll HAVE YOUR ASS!"
The man tries to throw a bottle at Keith. Which would probably hurt.

If he was any good at throwing.

Instead, he nails the man below him, who whirls around, also himself infuriated from having been conked in the head with a bottle.

Given the short fuses of a significant portion of the crowd, this man included, instead of a logical, calm discussion and apology, happening, the two men find themselves in a brawl, which smashes people into other people....

Long story short, the entire arena descends into heated anarchy, as countless people begin running for it to the nearest exits, while rowdy hooligans and thugs begin throwing punches and picking fights. The fight splits the entire group, as everyone is shoved apart through a tide of people rioting and smacking each other with foam fingers and boxes of sausages.

Well. This is fun. Now you have to fight in the middle of a bonafide riot.

Not that you haven't done worse.

For Asuna, she seems to spot a familiar face, to her left. But why are they familiar...?

".....Asahi, honey?"
"Yes, dear?"
"I think we should've stayed home today. Could've made eggs and bacon. Your favourite."
"Oh, pish posh. Besides, this is the most action we've gotten since.....Penultia."
"....you and I remember Penultia very differently."
Meanwhile....
Up near the other side of the arena, a Revivian finds himself outside of the crowd.

Here he is, trying to enjoy a bit of wrestling, and then here comes a riot and there are people running towards him and now there's more insanity going on.

And in the middle of this whole thing are a bunch of adventurer-looking fellows heading down into the arena to kick the Baron's ass.

Well, looks like it's time for greatness.

Or, at least, something to break up the boredom.

"My lord, do you want me to beat these amateurs for you?"

The knight next to the Baron snorts.
"You'd be too quick, Marin. I want to enjoy this."

"Wolfhound, huh? Sounds like one of my old classmates back in Lindblum Academy! An old sparring partner of mine, back when I used to wrestle! Coulda gone pro if I didn't go into adventuring!"
"Since you've said your piece, I'll say mine! I'm the man who's going to be the next KING of Bastapa! Baron fuckin' Airmlaidre! There is no demon, no vampire, no MAN that'll get in the way of me kicking those fucking bootlickers who call themselves kings out!"
