Serena makes an indignant huff.
"Serena? Like the Goddess? Well, MMMPH. What are you doing in these parts, anyway?"

2597
Milly disappears off to the wagon, as one of the Wiggler-headed hunters approaches Jarvis. Judging from their rather....bountiful bosom barely concealed by their rather modest armor, they're a woman, of average height, carrying what appears to be an odd spear in one hand, and a grub-like creature hanging off the other arm, sheathed in a leather sash.

"MMMPH, my brethren. I assume you're the leader of this pack."

Alter to 4. Sacrifice one forgery to rebalance Minato and sweep Gleipnir around the Evoker, deliberately aiming to miss to nudge her into Luin Celtchar's range, allowing the lance to target her and smash into her on its own. While she's distracted by Luin Celtchar, swing Gleipnir back around into her swordbreakers, using the ridges to catch the chains around her and smash her into the ground to interrupt her summon.

"Small victories, Asuna. Least we're still standing at the end of the day, right? We can't all be asskickers all the time, so let's savor the times we are."

Andras is busy helping Terrorslayer patch up their wounds, while Rena stands over somewhere, awkwardly attempting to avoid glancing at Rosencrantz.

Keith approaches Milly and Yliss.
"I-I should have some....uh...medicine in the wagon, if you just let me go grab it-"

Suddenly, the sounds of heavy wingbeats approach, and Jeff and Dom fly through the trees.
"Oi! We brought 'elp! .....not that ya seem ta need it right now."
"We ran into some offa' Wiggluhhead's family, said we saw 'em dragon thingies 'ere! 'Said they'd come 'n 'ave a look!"

On cue, a group of people in varying attire, from heavy armor to almost nothing but leather greaves, kilts and shoulderpads, walk out behind Jeff and Don, carrying what Jarvis recognises as various monster hunting implements, like explosive barrel bombs, traps and flash bombs.

And of course, the most obvious sign that they were Jarvis' people, the fact that all of them were wearing various different colors of Wigglers on their heads.

"I know that, otherwise I wouldn't be carrying around a tome."
"I-I'm good for drinks, thanks."

2601
"J-just a little shaken. I, u-uh....I really don't like fighting. At all."

2602
"That was....concerning."
Milly seems relieved at not having had to fight too much.

Rosencrantz, meanwhile, looks over at Asuna, raising an eyebrow.
"We just got attacked by a flock of dragons and that was underwhelming?"

Jenkins, seizing the opportunity to go for a toenail that would be the prize of his collection, is far too overwhelmed by his eagerness and completely whiffs.

As for Jarvis...

The Great Falkar is pretty close to defeat, but still a dangerous animal. Still dangerous enough to burn him and everyone else in the area alive.

But, as anyone who fights Falkar knows, they have several weak spots in their tough hide. Their mouth and eyes are fleshy enough to be stabbed through, but it's anyone's guess as to if a wild stab or arrow will successfully hit. An easier nail would be the air intake in their chests, the natural ramjets that empower the creature and grant it speed. The Falkar has a very high internal temperature, through which it creates jetstreams capable of propelling it greater distances than an average wyvern, as well as exuding deadly hot gas that scorches and sears potential hunters.

As you might imagine, throwing gunpowder inside tends to end poorly for the beasts, but doing so is very difficult in the heat of combat, and Elder Falkar in particular are very hard to kill this way. As such, most methods of defeating a Falkar involve blocking the intake or assailing it, for instance with the use of a spear.

So Jarvis decides to use the old-fashioned method.

And by the Goddesses, does he succeed.

The beast spirals to the ground, its innards crushed by the pressure caused by Jarvis piercing the intake, hot air scorching and crushing the Falkar's organs. It lets out one last mounrful roar before falling silent.

The Great Falkar is defeated, along with most of its flock.

As Jarvis well knows, Falkar talons are prized for their use in weapons, and many prospective Monster Hunters use them to create their first weapons. And, well, there's a perfectly dead Falkar with well-sized talons....
Falkar Talon acquired.

"<Ohoho, NO. You're not going ANYWHERE.>"
Minato was better at projecting his magic at range now, true. That stunt he'd just pulled was only just because he'd gotten better at aiming.

But up close? That's where Minato shone. Swords, spears and all the like were a LOT easier to use when your enemy was at kissing range, after all; everything else in his arsenal was just to pin his enemies down so he could get closer. And that's exactly where he was.

Sobek was going to be a problem, yes. But if the Summoner had had any tricks to stop Minato from getting too close, she hadn't used them yet. Which left Minato a LOT of ways to play around, but the problem at hand was going to need to be handled first.

And Sobek wasn't going to attack his own summoner.
Activate Gleipnir and tie the Evoker to Minato. Sacrifice four forgeries to pull her as close to Minato as humanly possible, sacrifice another two to strengthen the chains to keep them as strong against Sobek as possible, while Minato smashes her into his shield again, positioning her between himself and Sobek.

Lilian uses what is probably ground up Falkar bone instead of actual healing herbs to cure Keilee's wounds.

While Succubus magic doesn't necessarily heal- it is, by and large, a draining magic that derives energy from expressions of lust, hence their dream-manifesting abilities-, that is not to say Succubi can't learn healing magic. Indeed, most Succubi who work in higher-end dream brothels learn some magic to use basic first aid.

What dark sorcery Lilian used, however, to heal Keilee remains beyond the scope of Generian science.

Area of denial attack indeed. Minato thought quickly. Charging forwards wasn't going to work, not if that attack was going to nail him right when he was charging into it. The summoner, however, wasn't defending herself, not that he could see.

She was hoping he'd be stupid enough to charge right into Abraxas' attack. It was the only way forward. Minato, however, had one asset, one card to play.

Luin Celtchair was still in his hand, after all, and it would target any enemy it could if Minato wasn't actively controlling it. It was the legend of the spear, after all, a spear so angry that it killed enemies even before the wielder used it to fight. All he needed to do was loose the spear and wreak havoc.

The army- most armies, in fact- advised against the practice of 'cooking' grenades. Grenades were volatile, they were explosive, and you didn't want them in your hand when they blew up.

Right now, Abraxas had a grenade, and Minato was going to set it off.
Let Luin Celtchair go, aiming it at the attack in Abraxas' hand deliberately to detonate the attack before Abraxas can lob it at Minato. While Abraxas is distracted, blow four weapons to ram into the summoner with Rho Aias forward to parry any incoming attack from forward.
