It's not that she doesn't want to, it's just that she literally has no talent for it. Even if the teacher were to spend decades, Yukari would be better off using her Spirits to defend herself than try to learn how to lob fireballs.

It's complicated shit.
Basically, all of them comprise a god in total.
She acts as a vessel for twelve parts of a god, basically.
She serves them by being their material anchor to the world of the living, and they pay her back by making sure she doesn't die.
So, basically, they're semi-familiars, semi-god-ish creatures.
