As if decreed by the Goddesses themselves....

...Yliss pulls the SSR Traitor's Requiem Asteria, focus unit of the Treason's Doom banner, featuring such units as Jonathan Godsrock, the arrogant former scientist, and Lucienne Lacroix, the mafia assassin skilled at hiding as an servant. Asteria, of course, got an alt, despite not even being from the same general area as the other banner characters, but there was probably a good reason for it.

Or, as Yliss was well aware and her bust made obvious, two good reasons.

"Cedric, get him some food. We won't be able to get more out of him like this. Even something like an apple, a piece of bread."

2869
The hooded figure takes the hair, fiddling with it a moment. When he is sure Keilee is long gone, the hair suddenly catches ablaze in his thin, bony hand, a green flame, green like the ocean beyond a pristine white beach.

"As I suspected. That girl was with that interesting group outside the Begnin Gate, bathing in the magic from that odd woman, like a fountain."
"And as I suspected, that odd woman.....she is a Goddess. This guise really is far better than my previous one. Less overdramatic. More natural to me. That fool Lucifer convinced me the mortals would not notice me if I acted so obnoxious."
"Mammon asked for intel.....but perhaps a piece of information like this should be kept to myself for the moment, until I perform some more surveillance. Until I've finished watching over this group."
"Thank you, Keilee."

An instant passes and the hooded figure was never there to begin with.

2870
"Do with it what you will. I have no need for earthly possessions. The only thing I ask in return is a single lock of your hair."
The hooded figure continues to tinker with the butterfly, the winged insect seeming to flit between its spindly fingers.

2871
The butterfly is blue, resembling a monarch butterfly in the Revivian vernarcular - or in the Generian vernacular, a leprechaun butterfly, generally named for the fairies who traditionally kept the butterflies as messengers prior to the age of crystal tablets - with blue colouring instead of the butterfly's usual vivid orange colors. Anyone who knows butterflies, of course, understands that monarch butterflies are generally not blue.

"Will this do, child?"

Keilee swears she only blinked, and suddenly in her hands, out of nowhere, is the Generian Chessboxing Championship Belt; the belt is comprised of smooth black leather with a golden plate engraved with the words "Generian Chessboxing Championship 3132".

"The mightest warriors neglect not the mind, nor the body."

2872
The figure continues to examine the butterfly on their finger, seemingly not quite paying attention to Keilee.
"That would depend on what goods you are looking for, child."

2873
"Well, if she's been dealing with remotely the same level of crap I've gotten, I wouldn't blame her. People are shiiiiiit."

2874
"On second thought, nah. I won't come with you guys. As tempting as it would be to have a Goddess lead me to Freya, Rio would kill me if I went with you. I don't think it'd be a good idea for either of us. I'll....figure out my own way to get to Freya."

2875

"Oh, you think so? Maybe I should tag along, then."
If Kazuto DID notice anything, aside from his briefly surprised expression, he ain't talking.

2876
"Nah, see, I already looked like this back home, but at least I could actually change my hair and face if I wanted to. Now, I'm stuck like Kirito. I suppose that Rio chick probably's got the same deal."
"Screw Freya. I still can't believe you guys haven't just ditched that Serena chick yet, either. Isn't she the other goddess who does this whole isekai schtick?"

2877
"Don't sweat it. You're not the first person to rag on me about it. I'm between adventuring parties 'cause of that."

2878
"Force of habit. Not my fault there's nutjobs who want to take their Kirito hateboner out on an actual person."
"Well, I'm not dead or any closer to being broke. That's a plus."

2879
Kazuto's hand instinctively flies to the hilt of Elucidator, looking up from his root beer.
"Who-oh. It's you."
"What do you want?"

2880
"I'll do my best to not be a burden on y-you, then!"
"As long as I-I don't mess this up, l-like always....."
Milly Pendleton has joined the party.

Keilee's search for an alleyway to find black market sellers is not entirely fruitful, at first. For all that the police seem to turn a blind eye to Anna's apparently legal scams, they seem to do a great job of cleaning out the criminals who aren't charging more money than an average person makes in several months.

After a little bit of wandering, however, she happens upon a hooded figure, a spindly gloved finger holding up a blue butterfly, a sack full of mysterious, glinting trinkets by their feet.. Suspicious by anyone else's standards.

So by Keilee's standards, lowered by her general distrust of figures that most sane people on the planet would find trustworthy, perfectly reasonable.

Without even looking towards Keilee, continuing to examine the butterfly on their finger, the hooded figure speaks.
"Hmm. Who might you be, young lady, to seek me out? An adventurer, perhaps?"
