Species: Bear. Ursus Americanus, to be exact, although with what he does, perhaps Ursus americanus sapiens may serve a better name.

Description: He's a bear, that wears overalls, has a love of good drink and a good bed. He seems to somehow have the capability to talk, and above-average intelligence for a human male. He also possesses quite unusually strong musculature for a bear of his species- indeed, quite unusual even for Earthly mammals to begin with. He also stands upright most of the time, though most bears tend to spend most of their time on all fours- but then, when he's talking, asking you for your finest bourbon and chatting to you about the weather, that tends to be the last thing on your mind.

He towers even over the tallest human, too. Also, he has opposable thumbs. How would a fine ursine citizen like him hold beer?

Background: Not even the Traveller is particularly sure when Cobb actually got ON his box; rather, he wandered off to find something and found Cobb sleeping on the floor, snuggled up next to an empty barrel of mead, with a post-it note on his head saying 'my name is Cobb', covered in an ungodly stink of God-knows-what and what appeared to be part of a garden gnome in his mouth.

He was quite stung and irritable waking up, but whether that was the hangover or the fact he woke up on some random person's ship, will be left to the reader to decide.

Ever since, Cobb decided to tag along, after briefly listening to what the Traveller actually did for a living and deciding that getting drunk on the best drinks the multiverse had to offer was the best life a connoisseur of fine drink like him could live. Nobody ever asked why he was a talking drunkard bear that wore clothes-or, indeed, how and where such a bear would come to be- but then again, would you question a bear?
