The gargoyle, completely oblivious to the complete wreckage about to befall the unfortunate beast, turns around to reply to Marcia's answer earnestly.
"Well, I'd really rec'mend one o' dem....wot wuz it....pro-say-kos? One dem fancy wines, dem fancy tarts with silver spoons shoved up 'er arses with fizzy bubbles and stuff."
Lilian administers a vulnerary to their erstwhile savior to heal their wounds.
If by erstwhile savior, you meant 'guy who almost single-handedly carried you through a room full of demons and got taken out only by a cheap shot', if by vulnerary, you meant 'budget defibrillator that was about as effective as praying to Serena for a sunny day' and if by heal, you meant 'accidentally induce carnal fantasies in their mind using your Succubus powers'.
As Shoes rams the gargoyle with his mighty stick of demon-killing, the dream works its magic.
The Succubi are the Demon Race of Lust, the collective daughters (and occasional sons) of Asmodeus Luxuria Zirconia, the Lady of Lust, the Tempter and the Queen of Succubi. Other mages might be able to induce dreams, but the Succubi specialised in the creation of dreams; this burgeoning field of dream creation, dubbed 'oneiromancy' by more modern-minded Revivians, has occasionally been exploited to create the finest of distractions for weary adventurers, or to recreate the so-called video games that Kaisei so dearly wishes they could have made. This last field was, of course, superseded by the rise of the Guild of Trisitia and the creation of the hit game Clash of Legends, but a history lesson into the burgeoning gaming industry of Generia is a matter for another time and another episode.
In the case of Succubi, however, the dreams they create are hardly family friendly. Lilian being Lilian, she hardly realised she was using it; given more time and conscious control, a Succubus can tailor a dream and every single element within it to make it the perfect carnal fantasy for the dreamer. But Lilian wasn't exactly controlling the dream, nor was she even aware she was using it. When not properlly controlled, even by the Succubi, those masters of oneiromancy, a dream can rapidly lose coherence, and even a dream created for erotic purposes can rapidly lose that initial purpose, descending into utter chaos and disintegrating into a puff of wish fulfilment, half-remembered shenanigans and the sort of ass-backwards moon logic that would make the slimiest, most loophole-abusing of lawyers roll their eyes in contempt.
For poor Kazuto Kirishima, this essentially meant that, one half-remembered horrific blur of a dream involving his old girlfriend, Asuna Yuuki (fortunately for him both a symptom of his unfortunate wish and not the same personage as Asuna Ito) and the entire library of Toho's daikaiju films later, he woke up in a complete blur, wide-eyed and very much alert.
"Holy FUCK what the HELL what was that?! What did you do to me?!"
While Lilian blissfully ignores Kazuto's protests to take a gargoyle down, Selene finishes the patching up.
Meanwhile, 42-1 continues on about his healing duties, completely oblivious to the shenanigans going on in the other room.
"Thanks, I owe you one. Wasn't too badly banged up, but you can never be too careful."
