Karin, presumably at some point, finds her way back to the group with the others, walking up to Clara and the others.
"Hey, everyone, I think William and I found something. We found the fountain, right but.....he spotted some weird tunnel right next to it. Do you guys mind coming along, helping us check it out?"

Lycia gives Asuna a resigned look as he settles into position, as if to say "I'm sorry, this isn't personal either".

So instead of biting or clawing Asuna, he chooses to....kinda punch her in the gut instead.

That damned ring makes her a little too weak and Lycia recoils from Asuna, cowering a lttle bit as if to apologise for hitting her too hard and generally looking like a kicked dog (which, quite honestly, he is). He offers up his behind, offering her a free hit, hopefully somewhere that won't hurt too much.

Indeed, Karin does see the lack of discoloration. On the other hand, however, maybe he WAS from this place and just didn't wanna talk about it. After all, it wasn't the first time she'd heard that kind of excuse; plenty of people had something to hide.

Karin mentally shrugs and lets it go. Besides, they were.....acquaintances in search of the same thing. Surely she could trust William.

She follows in William's trail.

Karin takes her position next to William to go investigate it. She was fascinated by history, but this was something a little bit out of Karin's experience; she was a scholar, but she was no Senija Cizek when it came to archaeology. Nonetheless, it was worth a look.
