Asuna shakes off the sudden urge to sing the praises of overthrowing the monarchy and securing the means of production.

Instead, she focuses her whole mind, honing her will like steel. Asuna concentrates, dancing across the group like a leaf on the wind, phasing out all the rest of the field to focus on her target, like a laser target. Like a sword, Asuna had one singular purpose.

Showing this idiotic would-be kidnapper from Kaisei that when he intended to mess with the living bodily incarnation of Asuna Yuuki, the Lightning Flash, she didn't just inherit her looks. She inherited her speed.

The goblin collapses in a heap, groaning. She was far too quick; even without aiming to kill, even without aiming to maim, she was far, far too fast, the one blessing the goddesses above had granted her she could really call a 'blessing'.

And speaking of goddesses....
Serena, for her part, continues screaming and panicking as the enemies approach behind them, while healing her meatshields. Reaching towards Keith, she starts screeching.
"KEEEEEEEEEEEEITH! Don't let them hurt meeeee! I'm a goddess! I'm too beautiful for thiiiiiis! D-do your jobs and protect me!"

Serena heals Vlad for 13 HP!

And then Vlad, hoping to drown out the noise of the useless goddess, performs a little metal for his fellow vampire.

Keith, for his part, roots through the abandoned cart, now that the other guards are absent. True to Rosencrantz's comments, the cart is full of various pieces of junk; old, clearly wrecked weaponry, various herbs, powders and medicines used for male enhancement, pain relief and one substance Keith's simultaneously sure he's familiar with, pretty sure is illegal in six of the Seven Kingdoms, and completely unsure if he's actually taken it before. Two things, however, stand out, which may well be the only two things of value in the entire cart.

The enemies continue moving. Rosencrantz and Guildenstern's squabbling can be heard further up the road, far enough up that all you can tell of the squabbling is that the older brother seems to possibly be cursing out the younger one for doing something intensely stupid.

Behind the three larger people, one of the smaller goblins is pointing a chubby finger at Asuna.
"That's her! That's the one! Let's get her!"
The sword-wielding goblin speaks up.
"That's....that's a terrible idea. C-can we just go-"
"But the reward, man! The REWARD!"
"T-that's not-"
His protests are, sadly, ignored.

Good on him for trying, however.

Erica accompanies the shop squad.

"That was....unnecessary. There were easier, less painful ways to make her understand the gravity of the situation. But....I cannot blame you for trying."
Erica, who'd been watching from the doorway the whole time, steps in, without a hint of hostility in her voice at all. She adjusts her glasses.
"Still, he is correct. We cannot act, at all, without understanding what we are up against. If you want to avenge Lord Lichteisen.....we have to know what we are aiming to fight against. Your safety is paramount, and if you want to pursue his killers, you have to understand we cannot guarantee your safety in so doing."

Well. That....happened.

Minato steps back from the truck, cautious and wary. He had a sneaking suspicion that his opponent wasn't quite as dead as he seemed; maybe in the normal, mundane world, a truck hitting you that quick might kill you. But this was the supernatural world, and he'd seen people take worse hits and walk it off. Alternatively, if his trainer was actually dead from a truck hitting him at enough speed to pulverise elephants, Minato now had a different, worse problem; someone had broken into Aethertide, into their resort, and was likely aiming to kill Minato specifically. His gut told him, screamed at him, to run in and attack it at full power, but Minato had learned THAT lesson already; getting too cocky, getting too hasty would get him eating dirt in no time at all.

So either his trainer was about to go red and bust out some serious firepower, or Minato was about to have to fight for his life from someone who'd broken into a place with what he presumed were serious protections against exactly what just happened.
