Aya does, in fact, do the scritching of the ears.

"I dunno. I don't exactly want that kind of responsibility, you know? Having to run the whole place, decide who does what and when, and having to take responsibility when something fails. Being in charge doesn't seem all that great to me, personally."

Aya sees an opportunity to slip herself into a conversation.
"It's pretty convenient to not scare off the nearest living souls in the wilderness, yes. Though, I HAVE learned to stay in my true form for....well, however much I feel like, buuuut, well....most people don't like trading bandages with an inarticulate wolf in the middle of the woods."

"Can't catch a break, huh? These things are a pain..."
Maki keeps up a brave front, but the Zoanthropes had become increasingly more powerful throughout the last week or so. These things weren't letting up.

Spica nods, looking deeply concerned, her eyes scanning the fallen Zoanthrope, who had yet to transform.
"This is getting out of hand, very quickly. Are you sure you know what you're doing?"

"L-lapse of memory? W-what are you talking about? We're in my office and you.....wait....where are we? How did I get here? Who are you?"

Minato, as if wanting to say something, but not quite wanting to ruin Faith's moment, steps back a little bit; now wasn't quite the time to get her to calm down, when she was pretty irritated enough to start shooting laser beams at people.

He figured there was some sort of magical defense on the actual house. In any case, even if there wasn't, repair costs had to be cheaper than dirt here, so they'd probably be fixed within the day.

"Oh, one of those kinda guys who wants to prove themselves, huh? Surprised there aren't more like that here. I'm just here for the payday, personally; travelling the world ain't cheap."
