Blast the door open.

"You'd be surprised, girl. Laguz don't exactly live in caves anymore. I personally grew up on a farm. Small place, big family, you know the kind."

3513
"I prefer the slow path, myself. More time to enjoy the scenery, get around, go at your own pace. You rush around too quick, you miss the details sometimes; gotta take it easy when it comes to these sorts of things."
Aya reaches around the back of her head, resting her head on her hands and taking a deep breath.

3514
"Could tell just based off on how you talk- you talk like me, not like the others, and I picked up quite a bit from humans- and the fact that you're not flying around like the other birds. You travel around, you pick up on these sorts of things. Nothing to be ashamed of, we all got our stories."

3515
"Juuuuudging from the way she speaks, I'd say she's spent a lot of time around humans. Speaking from experience, personally."
Aya, for her part, has been hanging around Aurelia a fair bit, giving Milos a little space.
"Maybe even raised by humans. Am I right?"

Turn 5, Aranea Zoanthrope
[Now Playing: Enraged Zoanthrope Theme ~Brachydios Battle Theme~]

Maki gets the hell out of dodge, still reeling a little bit from the earlier blows she took, retreating behind Ragnar for the moment to protect herself and catch her breath. As much as she really liked to get up in the face of her enemies, she wasn't exactly made of diamond. The spider would take a moment to go after her, if it wasn't for the fact it was currently focused on the highly irritating thorn in its side that is Hideyuki Ito.

Indeed, the spider continues glaring at Ito, sheer hatred in its many eyes. No more trying to be stealthy about it, no more calmness, no more attempting to relish the hunt; Ito would die, now, and in such a way that it would be simultaneously brutal and practical. No more broken limbs. No more nonsense. No more playing around with the prey. Just end him.

It goes for one final lunge, hoping to take Ito down at the very least, maybe use him to form a distraction. Or maybe just take its tormentor down, like a boar and its hunter.

Or it would work a lot more, if Kiyo didn't smack a bunch of missiles right into it, sending it careening....right into the path of Haruko. And in a contest between flaming bird and burning insect, birds tend to win, every time. Haruko herself doesn't quite take the blow as nicely as she'd like to; contrary to popular belief, it's not well-advised to smash right into giant insects that could rip you to pieces with the slightest twitch, especially when one was on fire, but the spider itself isn't exactly taking it well either, least of all because Yamato just cuts its side open, the fire in his blade cauterising the wound and stopping it from spurting its acidic blood all over him.

The creature stumbles right into Ito.

Or rather, the Golden Knight of Touto, in full armor.

[Now Playing: Armored Ito Theme ~That Person's Name Is~]

His armor forms around him as Ito does much the same thing as he always had; slain the monster. It's not hard. It's not difficult. Let the creature's momentum drive the blade directly into itself.

And that's precisely what happens. The beast trembles, shudders and twitches as Ito's blade impales it, trying to wrench itself off, to lash out at Ito, but the armor is far tougher than his coat, far tougher than everyone else's and it doesn't even scratch the armor at all.

The Zoanthrope shudders, then falls still, slumping to the ground.

The Aranea Zoanthrope has been defeated. However, Lapis perks up, seeming to sniff the air, detecting something. The air seems to lie stagnant. The ground trembles beneath your feet. Something was coming. Spica starts performing some patching up in preparation, healing Haruko up.

Be careful. There is an incoming Zoanthrope. Don't relax yet. The fight isn't over, and whatever THIS Zoanthrope is, it's....powerful.

Nearby, Amelie is running to the fight, as quick as she can, hopping off rooftops and cars to do so. She's not far away, but neither is this thing. Getting ready seems to be the best course of action.

"Don't think most wannabe murderers look like they're about to wet themselves."

3518
"Hey, hey, kid's a little scared of some Laguz. Give him some room. Slightly confused though, about what he's doing here."

3519
"Well, money would've been nice too, but I can work with that too."
Over in the corner, a small woman with bushy hair almost the size of her body leans on a wall, examining everyone else with a curious eye. Behind her, her tail flicks about, her wandering eye looking over the group walking in. Humans. Probably not the type to skin her and hang her head on a wall like a mounted deer, considering they hadn't killed everyone yet. That's good. They had to be the other half of their team. Even better.

Elites weren't anything of her concern. She wasn't exactly attached to land at all; one day she'd be here, the next she'd be gone, to follow wherever her heart took her. The only place she really called home was back home, with her family, on their small farm, far far away. Still, she reckoned she could fight, and she was promised a reward. And money wasn't exactly easy to come by as a Laguz wandering the world to see the beautiful things in it and really only living off the land and whatever odd jobs she could find; bandaging yourself up was surprisingly rough when you couldn't afford money to buy some fabrics and wrapping your wounds in leaves wasn't exactly always an option.

Being as she was a wanderer, she was both fairly comfortable with humans and also much like them in mannerisms anyway. Then again, dogs and humans tended to get along well BECAUSE they acted pretty alike. Made sense that a wolf Laguz could understand a human well enough. At least, that's what Aya had heard; she wasn't exactly a scholar and didn't exactly know if it was true or not.

She heads over casually, strutting along, feet in sandals and easy-going grin plastered on her face.
"So, you all must be the other half of the team. Aya here, pleasure to meet'cha."

Minato looks over the twins, trying to figure them out.
".....that's.....reassuring. Don't make it worse, Shef."

3521
Minato, for his part, is dressed in a light white shirt and flower-print shorts, perfect for their resort adventure. And of course, the Gaia Driver on his belt. Something about Shou's powers seems to clock to Minato, as he heads over to have a closer look over the barriers.
"Huh. What....what is that?"

"And I suppose you have a winged slug with a shell of steel, by way of analogy?"
Erica speaks up as she accepts rescue, a raised eyebrow and a dry tone to her voice.

"I myself was not wounded, although my companion here was hurt somewhat. We were able to gather ourselves in the clothesroom before you arrived.

As you have introduced yourself, I too will offer you the same courtesy. I am Erica Aureliana di Palladino da Vancia, retainer to Lord Joachim. As long as we both seek him, I- and my companion- are at your service."
