Plus, judging by what the Persona look like, which is to say, significantly different from their originating mythological sources albeit maintaining the same key features I would think that void entities would look similar, rather than just outright copying the forms of pop-culture. Unless of course, Nyan-cat is now eligible as a persona?

Still, looking around in the subconscious of humanity is a great way to make forms that are at least partway comprehensible to humans.

I didn't come up with THAT part. The Unconscious contains, apart from various Shadows of humanity and other sentient beings, two entities representing the positive and negative traits of humanity.

Most likely Rag used it to allow Void entities to assume forms appropriate to Creation- where better to acquire such forms than the collective unconscious of all humanity?

Rag's Lore: One guy rules over the entire void, and apparently he's nice. To me it doesn't make that much sense for the complete antithesis of creation, an embodiment of entropy and destruction, to be a nice guy. Did anyone challenge Void's rule? How did Void come into power? Why did void entities use the Collective Concious, a twilight realm, to take their forms in creation?

The Collective Unconscious, which is what it's actually called, is also Persona lore. Which is mine.
