Well, we might need a fudged roll if we're supposed to be saving the main protagonists from dying. Plot armor might be needed for the NPCs, at least.

It might help that if this fucks up, we killed a character two fights before they actually died. And possibly put everyone into despair.

Because we can heal those? In theory, Mami's decapitation could be healed from if her soul gem hadn't been eaten.....and pretty much every injury that doesn't destroy your soul gem can't kill you.

As long as your Soul Limit holds out, you get heals, as far as I know....
