He is wearing white gloves with an intricate transmutation circle drawn on it with the three alchemic principles (mercury, salt, sulfur) with mysterious text, and on his other glove another transmutation circle which seems to be designed to separate the three principles by creating an alchemic inbalance once the circles are combined. With anyone that has knowledge of alchemy, the circle would be designed to decompose living tissue.Cheru has enough knowledge of alchemy gleaned from his masters to know that that circle is bad news. He clears out of the way.
