The plot of Fuuka's game goes as thus;
In the future of 20XX, the game of 'Dungeon Mechas' has become popular- its a game that plops custom built mecha into stereotypical fantasy classes, like ranger, mage, shaman, etc. and is played throughout the nation.
The protagonist is a fantasy geek who with his dingy old model- which he upgrades throughout the story- and his arsenal of different class attachments, seeks to have a good time in his roleplaying group with his good friend Ayako- who strangely resembles Haruka-, the mysterious transfer student Terry, and the computer geek Shiina- who strangely resembles Fuuka-.
One of the interesting things is that the protagonist can attempt to woo Ayako- in the game, the party members can form supports that allow better abilities and even new abilities which can only be used by pairing their respective mecha-, before Ayako reveals that she isn't that much into him as a potential boyfriend. Just then, however, Shiina's support opens up.
.....well this is awkward.
