"I take it the massage offer is still not going to be wanted?"
"Still, you need a break every now and then. Or at least some relaxation. Why don't let me help with that?""Ah, well, I suppose." She smiles.
"So do you have anything you want to learn?""H-huh?"
"It actually is kind of their job to make sure magical things don't ruin your day. Not your day explicitly but the point remains.""My point remains. IRIS is a global organization. Northsdale isn't that big of a city. If Sydney would get attacked, they'll be all over it. If my city gets attacked, I'm the one who has to do it.
"I am explicitly needed. Since you guys left, I've been one of the only people capable of fighting magical threats here. IRIS has more important things to worry about than Northsdale."Kyle looks over Maria's work.
"You know, Selina said she has all her work done. Why don't you? I mean, you vigilante work is great but if you aren't explicity needed I'm sure the IRIS base and my dad can handle it."

<Hmm, is there maybe a way to temporarily overcharge it? Like, have those that are not fighting or supporting the fighters feed their mana into the shield, to make sure it holds even against strong magic? I believe how it works is that it creates equal amounts of anti-magic, targeted at un-authorized magic within the castle. A strong enough illusion might not be weakened enough by the shield, so supplying it with extra mana would be useful.>>It might work.<
