Also, Akroma does mention a lot about how they aren't stars at all in her letter (which I will not quote because it is frankly a pain in the ass to find it) and she even said it a couple of times here. I myself don't see any problem at all in the Wall of Stars and I'm pretty sure unless USEC and Twi have complaints, it's canon.
