Elaine, meanwhile, just takes notes of people's names. These people seemed decent enough, but then most people did.
She'd have to stay on her guard. The one called Geraint was most trustworthy; he didn't hide anything about himself, making his intentions clear. The ones called Agiluf and Freyja were less so; not evil people, not as far as Elaine could tell, and they had helped fight and claimed to protect the innocent, but then so did Elaine, and she was nowhere near taintless. The slimewoman Pitua seemed trustworthy too, but Elaine knew nothing about her, not yet.
