Is the scarab... thing going to be useful later?
Get that shit analysed. Even Horus doesn't know about it.

I have and I'm not doing it because guidelines and no.

Is it any good?
I REFUSE TO SPEAK OF IT ANY MORE

"And is there any way to activate this? Some codeword, or what?"
"It should be linked to your mind the moment you wear it. If you keep it on and ask for it, the sands will protect you."

Hai has acquired the Divine Sands.
Active: Protective Sandstorm: Enshrouds the party in a divinely empowered sandstorm for five turns, damaging any enemy within it for -5 per turn. -40 MP to activate.

Kyle pockets whatever amulets he thinks don't look magic or important. And maybe something that looks like its valuable before going back to apologize to the Wall.

Neferis is still standing behind Kyle's back, looking at him.

((Embodiment of the wall is now an official character. Her name is Neferis. Have fun.))

Taken directly from the original OP:
Bay12 Rumble

Rumble is a surprisingly versatile game system primarily designed with PvP in mind, that I would like to try GMing, with some augmentations to allow for some Co-op and PvE.

Rules summary:
  • Players generate a pool of abilities by choosing from a list or making up their own abilities.
  • Players secretly bid on those abilities spending Energy. Energy is an important resource during actual play; don't spend too much!
  • Each turn, players inform the GM how they spend their current Energy total to attack, defend or use their abilities. (this does not actually consume energy)
  • Actions are revealed simultaneously.
  • Damage taken (attacks-defense) is subtracted from Energy.
  • Players are eliminated when Energy reaches 0.

Spoiler: Character Sheet (click to show/hide)
History (pool): Civillian, previous challenger or blank.
[spoiler=Setting]Simply put, I have a good idea where I'll be going with this, but alternate setting suggestions are welcome.

My current plan for a setting is on a human Worldship after a massive war brought about the existence of genetically and mechanically enhanced super soldiers.

The victorious party in the war chose, rather than idiotically lording their victory over their enemies, to erase all memories of the war from both sides of the general populace, the memory of the war remaining in the minds of the Planetary and Worldship rulers, known as Keepers.  This did not get rid of the existence of the super soldiers however and simply killing them was considered to be both inhumane and wasteful, so they were put to use to entertain the generally bored masses by fighting to the death.  Of course, two things quickly came to light, one, the warriors were dying too quickly, and two the people wanted to see new blood, so three pools were generated to pull from.

The first pool is the Civilians themselves, who can join in on the bloodbath to enhance their personal and political standing, one victory in a tournament grants officiator powers for the next tournament, two and they are allowed some say in public policy on their world/ship, three and they are granted Keeper status of either a Worldship or a Planet of their own, whichever is available.  The second pool is comprised of Clones of old challengers brought back to life, memories restored to a point, a victory in the tournament could give them a civilian body as well as similar privileges to Civilian victors, so that they can go and live lives.  The third pool is quite literally pulled from a pool of genetic soup, these blanks, as they are referred to derogatively by the audience, can be granted a number of things, not the least of which are memories of their own, manufactured reasons for living, and a civilian body.

Of course, it is just a big show, so there's no real reason to get into power politics and metaphysicality of it.

This is a continuation of MrVoid's original game. Currently full, although we're taking waitlisters.

Hainuwele picks out a few amulettes that she could possibly wear as some sort of...chest piece?, and shows them to Horus and the others

"Hey, these don't look all that divine. What's sp special about them?"
Horus looks at the one Hai's carrying.
"...that be the Divine Sands. Careful with that. That unleashes a sandstorm when it's wearer needs it, but....well....it also takes a fair bit of energy."

He sees an enchanted khopesh, enchanted tunic, enchanted dagger, and some amulets as well as a bracer.
((Why not. The wall is socially very awkward, will slip into bits of Ancient Egyptian and is about as shy as Selina. :P ))

((Excellent... If this becomes an official character I'll punch someone in the face though.))

The guardian of the Wall slowly and quietly walks out of the wall behind Kyle and looks at him, tilting her head slightly.
((Embodiment of the wall is now an official character. Her name is Neferis. Have fun.))
