As Minato recovers from their crash, he lays his eyes upon the most heavenly sight ever known to man before or since.

Faith in a maid costume.

For but a brief moment, Minato is enraptured by the sight of the most beautiful girl he'd ever met- and that wasn't without a lot of competition- in the best set of clothing that mankind had invented since the bikini. Truly, the cute, busty American girl in a maid costume was something straight out of Minato's wildest fantasies. Probably literally. In that moment, Minato even thought she'd keep it on.

Then she began tearing at it.

And a fire began burning in his heart.

Perfection was utterly ruined. Perfection. Then the Mononoke arrived. Big mistake on its part, really.

As soon as the laser dissipates, Minato charges at it with a frenzied yell!
Charge at the Mononoke, destroy Rho Aias to damage it, summon Durandal and then while it's dazed from the impact of Rho Aias, stab Durandal into it!

"Mead! Made from honey. A personal brew! My uncle and I used to wile away days brewing the stuff, when he wasn't teaching about statecraft! Truly, a great man!"

4938
Thiyr nods, satisfied with his allies' work.
"If that is all, then disperse. You all have work to do. Orc Lord and creature of glass, a map will be waiting for you in your quarters, with the location of the weapon marked out for you. The rest of you, train or keep yourselves sharp for the battles ahead. As for myself.....I have duties to attend to."
With that, he walks away from the group, walking off into the doorway leading outside the Temple of Discord.
.......
Elsewhere, minutes later.....
Thiyr closes his eyes. He kneels, facing up to his benefactor with a stern, guarded look on his usually serene face.
".....we are acquiring the weapons as we speak. If all goes well, I should have either the weapon or knowledge of who is on their side. Mircea will be a threat, if you are correct about who has been summoned to oppose our aims."

His eyes briefly flit to the blade at his side, sitting in its blank scabbard at his waist, an imperious, dominating aura still thrumming from it. Thiyr's mind flashed back briefly to the first time the blade was loosed.

Even the Golden Company, made of the sons of gods and heroes, stood no chance against him then. What chance did these ragtag bunch of misfits stand against Nástrǫnd?

"Of course, if I encounter him, he will be of no concern. Even the Spear of Heaven will falter against us, my lord. Especially not with.....the girl."

The presence before him seemed to fix the emperor with a gaze, as if curious.

"The girl is useful. The Maiden's powers are.....unlike anything I have ever seen. If all else fails, we will have to make use of her. For now.....we will keep her here. She....must not be broken again. The girl will need to be protected."

The presence seems satisfied. Thiyr stands up, bowing to it. This time, the expression on his face is more confident.

"My lord, I shall pave a path, for the paradise on earth that you have given me power to attain. And all those misguided and all those who follow false messengers shall be cleansed."
Fiends may no longer act until specifically allowed.

Meanwhile, in Mircea's Fortress.....
"A proper introduction must be had! After all, my uncle always told me that one of the best ways of getting to know one's comrades is to break bread and share salt with them!"
Mircea declares boisterously, letting loose an uproarious laugh.
"Of course, the villagers agreed to help me on a grand hunt, in order to properly welcome you all! You see, the villagers worship Harmony, and so when they heard more of her champions would arrive, they could not help but assist us! We are stocked with food aplenty and even some mead! I am told that it is the finest, a local delicacy! Perhaps tonight, we find out!"

Ophelia smiles at that, guiding the other champions to the dining hall. It's a simple affair; a large table made of several long wooden tables and several seats, a large stone throne- presumably to seat Mircea himself- at the head in front of a large, roaring fire. The table is already set with food of all sorts; jugs of mead, roasted birds and mashed potatoes and other rich foods. The plates are less luxurious; wooden plates and goblets, but still of good quality and make.

"Come on, come on, eat up, my brothers! After all, we may ride out to battle, and it will do us no good to fight on an empty stomach. So feast, my friends, and properly know one another!"
Champions may now act.

Kanade follows behind, completely calm as if she has all the right in the world to be there.

"I'd prefer that they didn't bring the whole place down with people in it, thanks!"
Rho Aias, as he was already preparing one, and pull Faith down behind it.

Thiyr remains calm despite her imperious presence. Perhaps it was that he still dwarfed her despite her floating off the ground, or perhaps it was simple fearlessness. He speaks to her in the same calm, almost priestly tone he has already spoken to the others in.
"All in good time, comrade. You will know it when Discord sees fit for you to know."

4942
"Prepare yourselves. I have need of the rest of your skills, but first, rest."

4943
"My father and I have contacts among the confederation of nobles in Rheane. If we could get into contact with them, we may perhaps convince a few of the better-hearted nobles to join our cause."

"Brace yourselves! Faith, get behind me!"
Minato prepares to summon Rho Aias.

4945
Thiyr seems satisfied with Scrak's eagerness to take on the job.
"I would be more prudent about the destructiveness of your men. If you make too much of a spectacle of it, our opponents may hear of it. No, you will not go unaccompanied."
The emperor gestures to the glass beast with a firm hand.
"You, accompany our ally here. Ensure that you complete your mission with as little interference as possible."

Suddenly, a young man in a white two-piece suit with a black tie steps forwards from near Thiyr, his angular face topped with a head of well-kept light lavender hair. A modern-looking scabbard with a traditional katana is at his belt, hanging there with a small, faint hum.
"....surely, it would be prudent to send me along too, Lord Thiyr?"
"No. I need you here. I cannot afford to send two tacticians away, after all, and you do not have an army of your own with you."
".....Keiji. I would like to.....speak with you, a moment. Lord Thiyr....I am sorry, am I disturbing you?"
A lady appears from the very end of the dais, clad in a thin, slender white dress, a blue gem inset in the middle of her chest and a golden tiara with a blue gem set in the middle upon her forehead. Her long blue hair is untied, falling behind her in a curtain with a white veil over it.  She gazes over to Thiyr, waiting.

The emperor closes his eyes.
"I was about to let him go. Go, boy."
With a nod, the man in the suit walks off to join her, walking away with the woman. Thiyr turns back to the group.
"So, Scrak and the stalker shall retrieve the weapon. The rest of you shall stay here; the retrieval ought to be small, lest Harmony's agents detect our movements. Are there any questions?"

4946
"Indeed. We shouldn't tarry. Thought that begs the question of where we'll go now that our safe haven is gone."

4947
Bertholt mutters a prayer under his breath as he walks past without stopping.

This wasn't the first time Bertholt had seen a dead person; a few people had died from disease despite his best attempts at treating them, even before working with the resistance cell he did. Still, the sight of the hanged corpse unnerved him.

4949
Bertholt nods calmly.
"Ah. I see. My companions feel safer now, so I suppose we owe our continued travels to your good work. Thank you, sir. Peace be upon you, we shall be on our way."
The priest leads the party away, conveniently leading them past around the corner.

4950
"Ah. What a shame. Perhaps times have changed since I set out. If I may bother you with one question before my companions and I set off, what became of the keeper? Is she still at large? We would like to know, lest we are beset in our travels those who ally themselves with her."
