Gender: Male
Appearance: Slightly short for his age, average skintone, blue eyes, slightly rounded features, with smooth, medium-short-length bluish-purple hair. Light blue shirt with an electric yellow fox on it, jeans, and yellow-green sneakers.
Perhaps the most notable thing on his person is the Anima Portal Ring, a silvery-gold metal ring with prismatic gems embedded at 6 points evenly along the circle, normally three feet in diameter, though it shrinks to 1 foot when inactive, and may grow to different sizes when active. It can be found hovering at Avve's will, though it's often stored on his back when not in use. It is used to summon all of the elemental animals, and the gems change color based on the element of the summoned animal. It still has use in physical combat, able to deflect, block, and parry attacks with it's rim, occasionally by spinning.
Home Universe (optional): Aminerra, a world of many magics that give birth to unique types of animal and monster throughout each region. close-to-modern technology exists in some parts of the world, though often with magical twists, and not all governments are willing to share their technology or use that of others. Avve's home region, Piruttia, is home to the Elemals (sometimes called Elema), animals burning with the elemental energies their land is known for. Located in the south-western part of the globe, surrounded by water on most sides, and filled with all sorts of environments due to all the elemental energies, it is a peaceful, trading nation with a solid presence on the world market. It's ports, especially the capital of Terrma see the products and people of almost all other nations pass through it daily.
Another nation of the world, Sendrorre, is known for it's rather advanced technology and the shapeshifting magic that turns all sorts of things, living and nonliving, into intricate animals and monsters. One of the...more aggressive nations, Bermantos, combines a militaristic dystopian government with the power of Weire
(Note: Not a pre-existing work of fiction, but almost entirely my own creation)
Background: Avve was born to a male summoner of full Piruttian blood and a female trader with Sendroan roots. Raised with moderate wealth in Terrma, he spent much of his time learning about the world through the local library, watching craftsmen make goods from all sorts of nations, and making short friends with travelers. Around the age of 13, he learned about his magical abilities, and spent the next few years of his life practicing the conjuration of Elemals. At just under 15, he decided to roam Piruttia in hopes of honing his abilities further and understanding the whole of his homeland, as many youths around the world often do. He saw numerous sights, made plenty of friends (though none of them we able to travel with him for long), and made progress toward mastering his summoning art. He even had a close encounter with a Weire Fox, a fox Elemal embodying the curious magic of Weire, which infuses a beastly nature over whoever it corrupts, but he'd told few of what happened, mainly since Weire is the magic of Bermantos, a military nation in the north of Aminerra, making the fox pretty much an impossible being. He returned back to Terrmaa year later, but only for a few months, since he planned to explore the rest of Aminerra over the next few years, learning foreign methods of magics and possibly learning the truth behind the fox he'd seen, returning every year for his birthday and occasionally sending letters and souvenirs every once in a while. However, on the boat trip out of Pirrutia...he was summoned as a Champion.
Advantage: Channeling magic through the Anima Portal Ring, Avve can summon, control, and bond with Elemals. The type of animal and the element they embody varies, but they can be controlled to a small degree; One of the two can be chosen, but the other is likely random. Some known elements and animals are: cat, wolf, bird, horse, bull, snake, dolphin, earth, fire, water, ice, air, electricity, wood/plants, and, possibly, the mysterious, dangerous Weire, which can create more elemental animals, even turning other living beings into them. Even if he wanted to, he currently couldn't, and wouldn't, choose it.
Stats: Ranged- 5. Pretty much all of his magic affects or calls upon another being, so pretty much everything he does occurs a fair distance from him.
Close Quarters- 2. May be able to physically attack if need be, but he'd mostly just parry attacks and attempt to escape at close range.
Mobility- 3. Mostly, he just needs to be fast enough to keep up with the battle at a fair distance. Evasion is pretty important for him, as his defenses are sorta weak.
Defense- 2. The inside of the ring can solidify for use as a shield, and even without it, he can sorta take a hit. Besides, he can parry some hits well with the spinning ring.
Super- 2
Skills: Elemal Synthesis (Active): Using a physical object or magical energy as focus/tribute, Avve can CREATE an Elemal based on the objects/energies used. They may not last long, but there's also the possibility of being a permanent, living creation, especially if it is weaker than average and well-made. Avve can tell if it's permanent or not once it's made. On the other hand, though, stronger Elemals may be unobedient or wild, and pose a threat to Avve and his allies until he can handle them.
Wild Connection (Passive): Avve can handle and befriend animals better than most people can, and may be able to understand their thoughts. A strong bond with an animal can even teach him a cantrip-like spell, often related to the animal itself. The animal must not be "temporary", like most of his summons, and their death can remove his access to the spell if their bond wasn't too strong. (If this isn't good to you, I can change the latter part to strengthening nearby animals he's bonded with)
Elemal Transfiguration, Elembrace (Active): Jumping through the Anima Portal Ring as he flows magic through it (or pulling an ally through it), Avve transforms himself (or an ally) into a slightly stronger Elemal for a while. He has his choice of both the animal and element, and the changed gains the ability to talk to other Elemals, but the transformation cannot be undone for a while, he cannot summon while transformed, and his personality changes to better fit the animal while transformed, possibly making them a hazard to the team. He spent quite a while learning how to handle the transformation, so the change in mentality is far worse if someone unexperienced in the transformation is changed. Thus, he'll be reluctant to use this on an ally.
Supers: Elemal Infusion, WildHeart (Active): Instead of conjuring an Elemal, Avve calls the power of one straight into the body of him or an ally, giving them their powers for a few turns, as well as a few physical aspects of the animal.
