I mean, there are characters who, IC-ly, would just avoid combat or find different ways around (Deidre for certain, considering she's a pacifist whose physical attributes amount to being an excellent dancer and nothing else), so I doubt it'd be mandatory for anyone except heavy damage dealers.  It is an Arthurian mythology-based RP, so the likelihood is that there will be times for people to sneak past battles or talk their way out through doing errands or something.

Come now. We have plenty of heirs, and she only just died. We can wait a few years out of respect for an excellent wife.

Deidre is rather relieved to see someone in the court who doesn't mind her using magic. The incident with the man who called himself Judas had rubbed her the wrong way, so Antonio's compliments seem to calm her a little.

Bertholt manages to catch the vulnerary easily. He calmly smiles at her as he catches it in one hand, searching through the caravans for something to eat, before tossing it back to her.

As for fine food; well, perhaps in my youth, I had fine food, but the priory's fare was less fine and more easy to cook. And, well, beggars cannot be choosers in this state, Rhea willing."
His smile simply widens as he notices her hand dip into her pocket. He'd noticed a while back that there were weird idiosyncracies to his partner's behaviour; one of them was the sweet tooth she thought she'd hidden from him but never actually succeeded at doing.

"My apologies, Roux. I was simply hoping to watch your back, so to speak. The axemen, I'm afraid, were too close for comfort."

Not particularly appreciating having my character auto'd, even if it would've ended the same anyway (Deidre's probably the one person in the whole group who's never had to fight anything ever, which makes sense, considering she's a Ninian ripoff and also spent most of her life in a swamp with nobody but her mom for company). Was this cleared with USEC beforehand?
