Name: Branwen ap Pwyll
Age: 26
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Planet of Origin: Jaiep
Physical Description:
Branwen stands rather tall, dwarfing the average Hub man by at least a head and easily being a match for other such individuals from other worlds, and her build is a mix between bone and muscle. Her face is small and round, a healed scar across her right cheek from a failed hunt, faded but still standing out against her light complexion. Branwen's eyes are a piercing blue, staring out from underneath her wavy, unkempt brown hair. The only concession to grooming her hair is a small band of twine attaching a pair of pearls on the right side, a prize she'd won in a fight long ago. Her choice of clothing is functional; a light leather vest over a billowy white shirt and pants, with dust-blasted sandals protecting her feet and a rope belt with small pouches attached carrying various dusts and trinkets used in the art of divination.
Backstory:
The Donnar De are simply one of the tribes that lives upon the planet of Jaiep. Just as others do, they move with the islands and leave with the waning tides of life, following their prey under the guidance of the shamans, powerful diviners rumoured to possess the power of clairvoyance in regards to the movement of land. Pwyll ap Lleu was the shaman of the Donnar De years ago, guiding his tribe to greener pastures time and time again. The hunts attributed to Pwyll were sung into legend, and Pwyll's name was whispered in the same breath as the gods of the world among the other tribes of Jaiep, hailing him as some sort of god-sent seer.
Among those who looked up to Pwyll was his daughter, Branwen. Groomed from a young age to be the successor to Pwyll as the shaman, Branwen proved to be a skilled shaman in her own right in divination and hunting alike, even exceeding her father in the art of healing, which Branwen put to use both healing the wounded and healing the tribe's animals. The latter managed to net her the affection of a giant raven, now named Cliona, which she eventually tamed and put to use as a mount to ride. Despite her skills, however, Branwen always believed that her father was the best she'd ever known; after all, Pwyll had taught her everything, and if Pwyll had not, then Branwen could never be a shaman. She adored her father, and Pwyll adored her as a father ought to adore his daughter; there was no rivalry to be found, though others said otherwise.
It came as a shock to most that Pwyll rather suddenly died from a sudden and painful illness, especially among the Donnar De. Branwen was affected the hardest; she grieved for at the lost of her father, even fighting a man who had accused her of murdering her father to become the shaman out of sheer rage and indignation that someone would accuse her of killing her own blood. Eventually, she was forced to isolate herself for a while, entering the wild on her own, during which she honed her skills in the wild, attempting to become a worthy successor to the hefty legacy she was left with. After a period of depression and calming, she eventually recovered to take her role as the shaman of the Donnar De, the rumours having passed among the more unsavoury elements of the tribe and those who respected her still welcoming her return. By all accounts, her tenure as a shaman has been, if not as successful as that under Pwyll, then at least fruitful.
