"Enough."
The Maelstrom studied both leaders with its impassive visage.
"Cannibals of thine own kin upon my left, and thieves of the sea on the other. I hold the balance upon myself, and yet I am uncertain of who to believe."
Below the basket, the waters churned, but remained relatively calm. The fate of the World Basket lay upon the Maelstrom.
He looked at Xarokan. He looked trustworthy, but desperate. His people were assembled behind him, and they seemed....hopeless.
To his left was Selekel. The False One.
The False One. Heretic. Liar. Cannibal.
At that, the Maelstrom decided.
"The sea knows better than to trust one who is called False. You shall be punished, for presuming to swindle the Ocean.
Great Fluffy One, you shall answer for your plunder of the depths, I guarantee you that. I care not for the pearl, you can keep it.
But for now, we are allies, and may the depth of the seas CRUSH you, KIN-EATER!"
And the Maelstrom unleashed a torrent of rapid water upon the Horrible Beings, unleashing the fury of the Ocean.
The Fluffy Ones watched in awe as the Ocean's fury was released. Never had such a thing been seen yet in all the ages of the world.
