Medea splits the bread and throws it to the winds. The bread, instead of landing, disintegrates.

Medea resolved to sacrifice something to Athena. She takes out a piece of bread and turned to Kyle.

It helped, of course, that the Alcris family were patrons of the wisdom and war goddess. Hecate and Circe believed in her more, but Medea was willing to.

She needed all the hope and help she could get.

Medea then does something she hadn't had time to do for a bit.

She prays to Athena for protection.

Medea sends a silent plea to her mother, wherever she was now, to protect her. She hoped her enchanted chainmail would protect her from whatever they had.
